  1. Giorgio,

You are ABSOLUTELY correctin your perceptions!!!! The world has become a very UNCIVILIZED place indeed!!!!! And, there is no excuse for rudeness and treating people badly.

People these days seem to expect PERFECTION for $35 or Euros or whateverand are totally INTOLERANT of anything less than perfection. Further .. many seem NOT willing to read the manual or go through the tutorials and will blame, blame, blame with no reason.

For many years I worked as an analyst and programmer (the old days) and I know for a fact that with software and hardwarethere is no perfection, but a steady stream of patches and "hardware engineering fixes" .. and the measure of a company is their customer service and willingness to stand behind thei product and keep fixing.

I do understand that it can become very frustrating and disheartening to be a developerbut TAKE HEARTand "non illigitimus carborundum" don't let the bastards wear you down!!!!

This A340 is a labor of love and you guys are to be congratulated for getting us this farI for one am looking forward a three hour stretch of free time where I can sit with the tutorial and give this aircraft another try!!!

In the US, there is a silly phrase"have your cake and eat it too" .. meaning, in the flight sim world, that people want absolute 100% fidelity and system modeling but are not willing to take the time to read the doc and learn the softwarelife is just not like that. In all things you "get out what you put in"no effort, no joy...

So don't be too disappointed .. over time people will come around and hopefully will provide constructive criticism IF NEEDED. In the mean time, hang in there!!!!

    Regards,

    Paul Benoit

  2. In the event some other poor soul runs into the same issue as I did, the answer is now clear.

With the recent Reality Gauges update, AND when starting the Cessna as default in the FS2002 start, AND having the SSWA310.DLL installed in the moduled folderwhan to the desktop.

Wellwhen the Reality Gauges are installed, they install into the default Cessna soremoving any reference to the reality gauges from the Cessna panel config .. fixes the problem

you can then move the SSWA310.DLL in to the modules folder when you want to use the A310, and out when you want to use anything else.

Hope this helps some of you!!

PeteI simply don;t know how you eep all of this straight!!!!!

  3. Pete,

Thanks for the quick replyapologies for the 2nd duplicate postnot quite sure how that happened ...

The SSWA310.DLL is installed with the SSW A310 Masters editionA310 Airbus addon. I think it does use FSUIPC but I'm certainly not sure.

I think the DLL must contain something which the addon uses .. and I am pretty sure that it adds an item to the FS2002 menu .. similarly as LAGO and PIC 767 do,

Thanks for looking, appreciatre your help!!!

  4. Hi Petebest of luck with this new schemeI sincerely hope it works out for you!!

I purchased my registration for FSUIPC yesterday, installed and registered it fine. Also downloaded the new ADVDISP and PFC DLLs. Did a couple of flightsone with the Dream Fleet Cardinal and another with the F1 Meridian all with the new software, including Reality XP's upgradesflew with FS_Meteo and RC3 on both flights so EXCELLENT.

Li most people with the SSW A310, I cannot use FS2002 while the SSWA310.DLL is installed in the Modules folder. It does not coexist at all with the REALITY software, i.e. you cannot start any aircraft with the Reality Garmin or Flightline install .. with the Meridian, you get a Blue Screen of Death, the others simply crash to the desktop.

Ok .. with the new versions of the DLLs as I indicated above, the SSW A310 will not start at allI get to the window menu, and FS2002 quickly crashes to the desktop. If I remove the SSWA310 DLL, all is finethere is LOG for the "all else is fine situation"

Can you tell from the LOG what is happening, Is there a debug in FSUIPC that I can use to help find what is going on?

    with the SSWA310.DLL installed:

  5. I just wanted to add that MAD DOG was my FIRST commercial jet addon and I, like many of you MISS IT. Howeverthe MD issues at LAGO are mootat least for nowsadly. There were some really nice features on the original Mad Dog.. never seen againthe little passenger loading timer .. many many little details which made the Mad Dog panel very special!!

The F1 .. DC9 documentation looks really greattake a look at the overhead, especially APU start and many of the overhead functionsand you will get a tear in your eye thnking about the old Mad Dogor maybe not .. hahaha.

Looks like some nice detail there.

LAGO still has an opportunityI would like an MD-87 with EFIS and FMS .. with that, I would toss all my other commercial aircraft. Just dreaming of course!!!
