    I started some too but without the nightsun it's a waste of effort

    shame the Bros didn't read the PM i sent them the week the 135 was released (still sitting in my PM outbox!) as it made it very easy

  2. I know Rick Piper'S done one too - but I have chosen to send mine up because I have different paints for the crew and the underside.

    :? crew "yes" but no to the rest mate :(

    Well mine is the correct yellow and underside matches the G-SSXX that flies over my house almost every day.

    must be abother G-SSXX about then :roll:

    As i thought bthe specular textures only work in DX10 preview mode like the alpha channels did before update2.

    but even in DX 10 preview the specularity is very low powered

    i would guess about 10% of what would look right.

    I only really noticed as i am Painting G-FEES which is Chromatic paint which i can do but not when i have no specular textures working.

    tried it on the default JetRanger & the extra and it's almost perfect.

    but it doesn't work currently in the EC-135

    sorry i redid the texture.cfg after the update that gave back the shine.

    sadly the update does not give specularity as i have made pure red specular texrues and the model looks normal so i am 100% positive specularity does not work in DX9 still (works fine on the Rotors etc just not fuselage etc)

    off to test DX10!

    Hopefully Tamas & Peter are fixing that but i don't know.

    I just uploaded the 3 UK Air Ambulance repaints to Avsim.com.

    Please no more requests in my e mail box as i have other stuff to do & i only paint as a break from making fs models :roll:

    I will upload the police repaints if we get a Police spec EC-135 at some point.

    here we go (will remove links once they appear on Avsim.com)

    EDIT: they are now on Avsim ! :wink:

    I don't want to upset you guys but do you plan a Police model or models without the snow shoe fitted as we don't have those in the UK ?.

    I did not upload my repaints yet as i did not know if they would work after the guys fixed the model

    (they might have changed the alpha channel in the fix).

    i will upload to my own webspace and link here for a day or so till they are up on Avsim & Flightsim.com when i release them.

    something very odd going on.

    in DX10 Preview mode all the shine & bump maps etc work perfectly.

    in DX9 the model is flat with no shine at all and no noticable bump maps.

    Why would it work in DX10 & not in DX9.

    off to try an older Nvidia driver.

    I am running windows Vista Premium & Nvidia 169.25 driver WHQL

    I am confident that there was an error when the guys compiled the final models and i am also confident they will fix it as soon as they can.

    not seen them here today so they might be away for a day or so.

    the model is in my view very good and not sure you needed to post negativity on Simmarket as i am sure it will be fixed.

    the model had gloss etc in the preview shots so i am guessing they just forgot to tick the boxes in the exporter rather than there being a major problem.

    I know Payware automatically gets a short fuse with faults but give the guys a chance before you light a fire under them :wink:

    i can speak on a personal note that when releasing my own models that you can miss simple things very easily in the final push for the release. :oops:

    but they get fixed as soon as possible :)

    I have the same problem.

    specular textures & bumb mapping work on the VC model (interior)

    but nothing on the outside and no gloss at all on the body or glass.

    strange thing is the ND Preview screenshots have gloss & specular shine (probably bump mapping working too but shots are too small)

    Hopefully the guys are looking into the problem but are not showing up here on the forum.

    yes i am with you and i am very happy with the model and the way it flies etc.

    started some UK paintjobs but waiting to see if flatness will be fixed.

    and a couple more Air Ambulance liveries from the UK

    probably upload to Hovercontrol when done :wink:

    they just need some gloss :roll:

    All my other aircraft work fine.

    i have no problem with specularity or shine in FSX.

    I develop Flightsim models so i am sure it's the model and not the sim.

    if you look closely the rotor head parts are specular in FSX but none of the rest of the model has any specular shine or any gloss to the textures.

    also cannot see any bump mapping working but bump maps are present in each texture folder.

    Bought the EC135 today and i am enjoying it so far.

    am i not seeing specular effects and shine on the main textures ?.

    ie: there is no gloss to the glass or the paint that i can see ?.

    is that deliberate or a mistake ?

    But it's a beautiful model and i have no problems starting the engines on this one :wink:
