Seems as though the EFFC is pretty much down for the count.
A shame...

Hi!
I have been reading all the stickies on Emma X and I am a little confused as to the actual status of the project. Is it still being worked on or is it dead?
Thanks for any info that can be passed on.

Sorry about that. I could have sworn it was 2k4 I was asking about, but I didn't actually look in my 2k4 LAGO folder.
Maurizio, if you are still out there, can you be of some assistance??
Thanx

Hello Anton,
Take a look at this thread that I posted a while back.

Hi Gert,
What you could do is get the Seattle Sectional Aeronautical Chart, which is what real life pilots in the US use for navigation. You can order one for only $8.00 US at:
http://www.sportys.com/pilotshop/charts/seccharts.cfm
Hope this helps...

I just downloaded and flew the fix to the shaking and trim that is posted in the Aerosoft forum...
FIXED!!
Flies like a dream, IMHO. There is also a replacement texture for those who didn't like the green tinted windows.
Now that's what I call service! Try to find that at that *other* company.

Hi Rich and Carlos!
Hope to get back to a little on-line flying one of these days...can't say when. ..
Carlos, did you fix your computer problem?
Rich, glad you like the Emeraude. I plan on making the seat a little more cushy pretty soon! Meanwhile, would you possibly have some close up pix of your cockpit placards? They would be a lot easier than having to re-make them myself, plus the fact that I can't read the smaller ones in the shots I have. Thanx. E-mail adress is:
Thanx!!

Hi Gang!
Posted my first video over on supersim.com. It's not Emma related, but you might find it interesting.
If you feel like it, check it out at:

Hi Johan,
The Zodiac is powered normally by a Rotax 912 100HP, giving a cruise in the 120kt range. It was designed specifically to meet the new Sport Pilot/Light Sport Aircraft rule which will be effective on Sep 1. You can check out the rule at: http://www.sportpilot.org/index.html
You can check out the Zodiac at: http://www.zenithair.com
It will still be a year or two before I am in a really good position to buy the kit, but that will give me plenty of time to do all the research I need to do on all the FAA requirements during the build, inspections, etc. Also, to finally get my pilot's license! 8)
Happy flying!

Ciaran,
The Sikorsky plant is about 8 miles from where I sit typing this...
I drove by it every work day for 8 years.
Just some useless gee whiz info for you...

Hello Lancair,
Looks like it came out pretty good! Hope you are still enjoying it!
The things I like about the Zodiac are:
1) All metal, modular construction with NO driven rivets. All blinds.
2) Claimed build time of about 500 hours
3) The damn thing just looks good!! 8)
A little cheaper than a Lancair too, I think...

Hi Rich,
Yeah, it would be a lot cheaper, but I've had the dream of building my own airplane for as long as I can remember, but never thought I would ever get to do it. Now a lot of things are falling into place that make it look like I may actually be able to do it in a year or two. Wish me luck!
I'll be gettting back to the FS Emeraude after the initial excitement dies down...
Later...

Hi Sam,
From the Seattle Sectional Aeronautical Chart:
Chinook A/B
Altitude of Use - 300 to 5000 feet
Time of Use - Intermittant. 2 Hrs in advance by NOTAM
Restricted Area R-6701
Altitude - to 5000'
Time of Use - Same as above
Hope this helps ya!
Regards,
Russ
PS If you want a Seattle Sectional, you can order one from

Yeah, I think we're a little more informal than that. JMHO, of course...

Hi guys,
Sorry, I've been a little under the weather lately. That coupled with my excitement about the Sport Pilot rule and I haven't been doing much Sim stuff of late.
I've been researching aircraft kits and have pretty much decided on the Zenith Zodiac CH601XL. Check it out at:
Seems like quite a ship! They have a FS model of it that you can download, and I have been flying that whenever I have a few minutes of sim time. I should be back working on the Emeraude in a few weeks.
Thanks for the interest.
Russ
PS Kinda reminds you of an Emeraude, doesn't it? All metal construction, though...
Will the last one out please turn out the lights...

I have to admit that I didn't notice that the forum had been closed and reopened. I used to come here every day a few yars ago, and would fly multiplayer on occasion. I was looking forward to Emma X, as it was promised to be "coming soon", as previously mentioned by someone, and then it never got here. That torqued me off a bit, and then I discovered Blender 3D, a free CGI program that dragged me away from Simming for quite a while. I only recently started flying again, and decided to check out the forum. I see that Emma X is no closer to reality than it was a few years ago, which is, really, unbelieveable. So, there isn't much reason to come here any more, I guess.
And that's a shame.
