Sometimes I fell ashame for the fact I paid Pete 25 euro's for the most important peace of software in my cockpit with outstanding support and other parties making the big money out of his product. Dear all (LS), Some issues I have to consider upfront my design fase I wanna share. 1. Supose I have a throttle device connected through FSUIPC, what kind of interval (times/second) would I consider as a minimum and advise average ? Consider that the FSUIPC_Process takes the longest time to complete. 2. An other issue is, advise needed, I could read from a offset with a large size, getting all data into one relative big block and break it down to what I need and visa versa (for writing) or I can read/write in tiny offset size per item. Wich techniques is common or preferable. 3. If FSUIPC_Process is invoke, does read all values of FSUIPC and reminds it for all futher FSUIPC_Read(s) ? It is in FSHellomain.cpp (the library routines), but as being said before...my stupidness was recognize in a different corner. :oops: BPR are Borland Project Files and DFM are Delphi Form Files.

In most cases, programming enviroment C++ Borland, I can use FSUIPC_Read and FSUIPC_Write without using FSUIPC_Process ? How can it be ? or do I miss something here ? Or does FSUIPC_Process only purpose with FSWide ?

Dear Pete, I'am getting to start all the peaces together for my own home build cockpit. Ordering 8 computers to do the job and make a network. WideFS and FSUIPC can run two protocols, IPX/SPX and TCP/IP over a LAN. On several post your favorate protocol is IPX/SPX, esp. with the new XP SP1 and SP2. A friend of mine told me he had better performance with IPX/SPX... What is your advise now days and why ? Thanks in advance, your doing a great job for us all. Bob

We wanna omit an extra PC (if it runs MS it must fail, beside MSFS). We are mostly intrested in two things... 1.) does your module broadcast itself on the LAN (TCP/IP), and how ? 2.) anyone else doing the same thing (electronics like) ?
