  1. Hello Peter,

    I am using FSIUPC for  along time notably for joystick calibration. I just moved to P3D4 and I am having a problem with the rudder (Thrustmaster). Yet brakes are fine!

    The rudder is assigned in FSIUPC but it seems its assignment is not read next time I load the sim because when P3D4 is started I have to go to FSIUPC, select the axis assignment tab for rudder and click OK.

    The values are OK in the FSIUPC ini file but it seems the sim has problems reading them (no problem with axis or buttons in my Saitek X52).

    Do you have any suggestion to solve this issue?

    I use Win10 64 bit.

    I thank you in advance!

    kind regards

    Ega

  2. Hi Volker,

    Thanks for your time!

    I followed your suggestion, the database folder is there but FSC cannot connect to FSX (because the paths to FSX are not there!) . I just tried with the freeware G-Plan and it connected immediately.

    The problem is that in the window to select the FSX path, FSC shows only the hard drive (c:\) and all the folders in them. In other programs (AS2016 and G-Plan) the corresponding window show the hard drive and also all the drives (X:, Y: etc.). So I believe my problem is related to how FSC reads these drives. I have no doubt they are correctly mounted - it is just that FSC that cannot find them!

    Oddly I had been using FSC for many years without any problem, even with Windows10 lately. But as I upgraded to a new computer, the problem surfaced.

    I am very grateful for your help!

    Warmest regards

    Ega

  3. Hi Volker,

    Thanks for your message.

    Yes, no mounted drives (X:, Y: and Z: in my case) are shown. Therefore the DBManager claims it cannot find FSX path.

    I am certain (well, almost...) that the drives are correctly mounted. In my client laptop I can see and modify all the drives mounted.. Also, Windows Explorer shows these drives.

    I did already reinstall the latest version of FSC but the problem persists.

    Kind regards and thanks

  4. Hello,

    I just re-installed FSC 9 in my client computer after getting a new (server) computer. Before everything worked fine using a network connection

      Unfortunately now I cannot set the FSX path in the DBManager. I am certain that the proper files are shared and the corresponding drives mounted ( I can see and change them in the client computer). In the same laptop I run AS2016 and it runs fine and therefore the network configuration is OK.

    I searched the forum and thought there are a few reports on this same issue I could not get any tip. I do have FSC in c:\Games and run it always As Administrator.

    Is there anything I can do so and I can the see  the necessary drive letter (Z: in my case) in the box "Select FS Path here" of  Data Manager? Is it possible to write the FS path directly in the ini´s of FSC or of FSCDBManager?

    Thanks

  5. I am using Wideclient to run different programs on a laptop that does not has FSX installed.

    Therefore in the ini file of Wideclient I have for example:

    run1=c:\games\FSC9\FSC.exe

    \\\\run1=c:\games\Plan-G\Plan-G3.exe

    If I want to use Plan-G instead of FSC (FlightSim Commander) I just deactivate the first run1 and activate the second run1.

    My question is: is it possible to have different Wideclient shortcuts to read different ini files? For example, shortcut 1 would read wideclient1.ini which contains

    run1=c:\games\FSC9\FSC.exe

    while Wideclient shortcut 2 would read wideclient2.ini which contains

    run1=c:\games\Plan-G\Plan-G3.exe

    This way it would be easier to launch the desired program because it would not require to open and change the ini file,

    Thanks!

  6. Volker,

    Thanks for your patience. Am I right on assuming that one FSC installation only is used for FSX and P3D2 taking into consideration the  relevant steps mentioned in the manual?

    I apologise again. I will try the installation into P3D2 and will report if any problem arises.

    Thanks

    Best regards

    Edmundo

  7. I apologize but I am a little confused with the use of FSC 9.5 in P3D2.

    I have been using FSC in a network configuration with FSX. Now I want to use FSC also with P3D2.

     I understand I need to share  a number of folders in P3D2, just like I have done with FSX. I believe I do not need a new installation of FSC just for P3D2, is that right? I just have to run FSC with parameter "2". Also I  do have of course to follow the instructions in the chapter "Updating Airports for FSX - in this case P3D2 - in a network".

    Can someone who has already been able to have FSC in P3D2 confirm if these are the right steps?

    Thanks

  8. I have just upgraded to version 9.3. Yet I don´t see whether to drop files *.png.

    Point 3 says:

    3. Copy the following files to Drive:\ …FSC9\User\Blackbox
       FSC_ACTyp_02.png, FSC_ACTyp_03.png, FSC_ACTyp_04.png, FSC_ACTyp_01.png

    Could anyone clarify the meaning of  "Blackbox" directory because I don´t one in my PC? It is to create this new directory and drop the png files there?

    Thanks

  9. Pete,

    I am a registered user of FSUIPC and I use your latest version in FSX. Yet I ahve aproblem with a Lua file and I would be appreciate your help.

    I have a LUA file containing the code in the modules folder (this file is for a cold & dark situation of PMDG´s J41). It registers OK in FSUIPC ini file.

    Yet when I select the "buttons+switches" tab in FSUIPC, the Press Jostick or (Buttons) boxes are greyed (i.e. non-selectable). I am therefore unable to map a key command or joystick button to that situation. Also the "Select for FS control" and "control sent when button pressed" boxes are unselectable (greyed).

    I use WIn 7 Pro, 64 bit.

    Could you please give me an hint on what is wrong?

    I thank you on advance.

    Kind regards

    Edmundo

  10. Peter,

    I found out thr solution. It was related to an instruction in Simconnect.ini, such as:

    [simConnect]

    level=Verbose

    ; file=r:\Game\FSX\SimConnect%03u.log

    console=yes

    file_max_index=1

    If "console=yes" makes SimConnect open a console window for diagnostic messages from simconnect. Changing to "no" stops sending this information!

    Warmest regards!

    Edmundo

  11. Hi Peter,

    I have just rebuilt my computer (using Vista and FSX). I installed FSIUPC (latest version) and used the key I had and it registers OK

    Yet I noticed that there always a DOS window scrolling a lot of information. Is that normal? I have disabled all logs.

    I also bought Wide FS and here I have a problem. I cannnot use it in my client PC.

    The FSIUPC log says:

    ....

    FSUIPC4 Key is provided

    WideFS7 Key is provided

    WIDEFS7 not user registered, or expired

    Running inside FSX on Windows Vista (SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07)

    ..............

    Peter, how can I register WideFS? I have already done that and I cannot find now a registrattion window inside FSIUPC as the manual says.

    Thanks!

    Regards

    Edmundo
