  1. Hello Joe Skittles,

Although some time ago, i just read your 'crazy' idea (what's crazy??) of a flashing pitot heat knob.

I'm very interesting in this gadget installing for the Learjet45. Can you help me in this ??

    Henk van Ahee

    >> Where do I get these crazy ideas? Well, I have a button assigned to Pitot Heat. I've written the code in such a manner where the LED will flash if I need to turn on the Pitot Heat based on the outside air temp. So I thought a little beeping sound would be nice as well. <<

  2. I tried many, many times to get things working with 2 different soundcards/gamport and 2 different yokes/pedals, of which at least 1 was good (as it works with my friends configuration).

So, in a last desperate effort, I formatted the C-drive, re-installed Windows XP Home (no SP2) and only FS2004. The problem persists. Then, while the pedals were connected with the gameport and the PC running, I disconnected the yoke, wait 10 seconds and reconnected the yoke.

Guess what, calibration was successfull with both yokes/pedals and ........ so they worked also with FS2004. PROBLEM SOLVED !!!

But what the cause was ........your guess is as best as mine.

I still suspect a loose contact with/in the motherboard, although I used different PCI-connections installing the soundcards/gameports.

The next time it occurs I really think of replacing the motherboard.

    Thanks for all interests .

    Henk.

  3. Let me give you some details:

My desktop is a WIndows XP, updated with SP, Pentium4, 2.6Ghz, 1Gb memory, ATI9600 Pro videocard and enough free diskspace.I'm using FS2004 with an analog CH yoke & pedals, for some years now.

After a couple of weeks not simulating, this yoke-problem occurred suddenly.

First, calibaration went well and the pedals working good. Only ailerons, elevator and throttle not. It seemed that only half of their reach was working, i.e. the throttle activates only from halway to full, but with full throttle the engine was running 50%. Same with the elevators, full down=fully upward, centre=horizontal. No way to get the elevators downwards. The ailerons only full left or in the centre. All buttons and the hat work good.

I tried different sound/game-cards and yokes/pedals, but the problem persists with each different euipment.

Re-installations of hardware and drivers were all successfull (says Windows).

In a last desperate attempt I formatted C: and re-installed WIndows without SP2.

Now, at this moment even the calibration is NOT successfull. After turning the yoke full left (click), full right (click), full forward (click), the calibration gives by itself the click for full backwards and jumps to centering the yoke.

I'm using the most recent drivers from CH and the WIndowsXP-update.

So, I am thinking of some fault in the motherboard. Do you agree ??

    Henk.

  4. I've an analog CH Flightsim Yoke, combined with CH pedals.

At random the yoke is going beserk, i.e. the throltle works only from halfway to full.

With full throttle the engine is running only at 50% and with half-throttle the engine is running idle.

Lately the same problem occurs with the other potmeters for rudder and ailerons. The function only for half their reach.

The pedals keep on working fine.

    Henk.

  5. I´ve installed FSNav successfully. After pressing F9 i get a white background (which i prefer), but after during the flight it changes into dark blue, which is awfull. I also loose the waypoints of my FSNav flightplan.

Who caan help or advise. I run FS9 (without the update) with XP Prof. on a 1,6GHz.

    Henk.

  6. I downloaded Autopilot (FlyByWire) and FSUIPC v3. for evaluation and get the following message, although FSUIPC is freeware I was told:

1114750 Illegal read attempt: offset 0B4C, size 2

1114750Program not accredited for use with this unregistered FSUIPC

    1115422 System time = 23:21:30, FS2004 time = 23:18:52 (07:18Z)[/i]

Can somebody help me with this?
