  1. The first thing you are doing VERY WRONG is openly publishing your FSUIPC key! I may have to invalidate that one now! Even though I've now obliterated it with X's I've no idea how many unscrupulous thieves might have seen your details first.

    Did you rerun the FSUIPC4 installer and re-register? Just copying in the KEY file won't be enough.

    Else send the details to me at petedowson@btconnect.com and I will check them for you.

    Pete

    I did re-run the installer but did not register it. I just copied the key over.

  2. I am reinstalling FSX after a Hard drive crash and am re-installing totally. I was able to copy my old hard drive before it crashed. The problem is that I copied the module folder into FSX and now FSUIPC says that it's unregistered. My computer is a quad 4 2.6 ghz with 4 gig ram. The os is XP.

    The old key is:

    [user]

    Name=Joseph Watson

    Address=raptor67@comcast.net

    FSUIPC=XXXXXXXXXXXX

    The dll.xml is:

    <Launch.Addon>

    <Name>FSUIPC 4</Name>

    <Disabled>False</Disabled>

    <ManualLoad>False</ManualLoad>

    <Path>Modules\FSUIPC4.dll</Path>

    </Launch.Addon>

    What am I doing wrong?

    Thanks

    JoeW.

  3. I redid that lake with SBuilder and yours looks a good deal better. I have the elevation of that lake at 84.42 meters, is that what you have there, Holger?

    I'll release it as I have it and if that doesn't work after your Misty is released I'll redo it again.

  4. elcamino .. Been a while .......

    Raptors Roost was down the channel from Hyden 4Z7. It was at the western end of that lake in the map. Flying down the channel in FS9 there was a very steep face on the mountains on the right (West) and I put a waterfall there. If you flew over the falls you would see the lake. FSX does not have that steep face and I can't place any falls there so you will have to use the GPS to find it. It will show as RRL on that. It's a water runway but you can land a Cub or Scout on that beach in the top picture.

  5. Dexter did the sounds for that. He did the sound for most of the fields that I did. It was him that pushed me to look into the sounds for FSX. They are a bit different in that they are handled like an effect. I have begun to place sounds in some scenerys for FSX.

  6. Chris .. I also did a scenery down the road from Emma Field, Dexterville, That has been re-released. It's not the same as it was in FS9 or FS2k2 but there it is and with the old sounds too. Dexter did most of it.

    Raptors Roost was my favorite start for a long time. I really enjoyed this scenery. This one is really promising too as it looks more real.

  7. Sometime back I made a scenery for FS9 named "The Raptors Nest". It was up by Ketchikan in the Tongas area. I think it was uploaded to Simons site because Avsim has no record of it. I'm trying to recreate it for FSX and I would like to use the ICAO I used on the original. I have located the same lake and have a little work already.

    Does anyone remember this scenery?

    Thanks

  8. Did you get up and running right? Dexterville was a very popular field in FS9 because it was very close to Emma. The "gate keeper " also used to come by on the way home from Emma for a quick game and a suds.

    I didn't include any instructions because it was straight forward as it installed as it did in FS9. The difference was the addon sounds that install as follows:

    The FX files go in the FSX\Effects folder

    The Wav files go in the FSX\Sound folder

    The bgl goes in the Dexterville\scenery folder.

    The old Dexterville was done with API files in Airport and compiled with SCASM to make a bgl. That scenery system is no longer supported so it had to be redone and as a result the buildings all changed.

    If you didn't get it right, let me know.

    Thanks SP for the hand again..

  9. Thats right ....... you were the first to get it.

    I read that. Great.

    Those two shots above were to show the least modified and the most modified. I used Google Earth to do most. My fav on the east coast is FL56 - Williams Hawgwild. By the way ...... the fuel works at this airport. Thats not noted anywhere.

    Thanks for being the first SP.

    Now ............ I need to find a place to upload Dexterville thats got 12 mgs of room. I have all the textures and librarys in it and thats why it's that big.

    Heli ...... You back up?

  10. SP ...... If you were a Beta tester ..... contact Francois over at the tester site .... That has been redone better that I originally did it. If you were a tester, you get a free copy to all as they are published. Remove all the old before you install the new.

    I have a question ...... Can I post a 12 mg zip here as an attachment?

    I'm thing of putting Dexterville up here with all the librarys.

  11. Good morning all and a Very Merry Christmas and a Happy and safe New Year.

    I thought I'd drop by and let you know my first commercial scenery is out. There are 4 volumes, total of 53 airports. They are not as the real life ones but I think you will find that most have buildings where they are in real life. I also included Landmarks (Lakes, streams aand roads with traffic) where they are in real life.

    I have made a before and after of two, 92FL Carlstrom Field thats in Volume 3 and 20FL Lake Suzy Estates that is in volume 4.

    92FL - Carlstrom Field

    This field is interesting, if for nothing else, The runways are marked East and West in FSX when in actuality in real life they run North and South. The Airfield in Airnav even says that the runways are East and West.

    Carlstrom Field was originally built to train pilots during WW2 . That field was about 3 miles east of the present field and did have runways that were East and West. The original field was closed around 1945 or 1946 and was converted onto a mental hospital that is currently closed.

    20FL - Lake Suzy Estates

    This is a residential airport in the Port Charlotte area. This one is probably the most dramatically changed airport in the whole collection.

    The scenery can be bought here:
