  1. Pete i think that that is just where the problem start i have to send it first to F|Sbus and from there it have to send it to the other comp where in this case the ECAM select software is running and they need to know that that when i Press a button on my panel for example.... APU that keystring goes to the FSbus software and from there FSbus will send it i assum with help of FSUIPC and Widefs again to the other comp and let the display jump from one screen to a other.... All the wires of the buttons/switches are connected to a PCB that is controled by Fsbus but because you dont know what FSbus is is it hard for me to show you how they figured that out... Pitty lot of ppl use Fsbus as well and it seems that a lot have that same problem now that they ket stuck on the fsbus site and because there are not many ppl that can tell how this program really works.... most of it is done already so it is just click and go but when it comes to new software or other options ( like the one i had before with the ATC panel and the 2 digs at the same time ) noone knows how to get those offsets to do something.... Maybe when you have some time left you could have a look to that program it is free to download and to use without any PCB you already can see how the inside is and how they programmed the ini files with the different offsets..... http://www.fsbus.de Maybe you can help a lot of ppl on there way... i try as well but for me is it also now to a point it goes for now beyond my limmets as well :( gr. Frans M
  2. I am sorry .... it is running on a seperate computer that is connected with widefs so it is there own software and it communicate with FS9 and also with project magenta. So it is a seperate keyboard. but my idea was that if i can use that offset in a certain way and not let it do BIT 1 =but tell 4810 .... send a A for APU or so? But i think i ask something impossible i guess. I just dont know how to see why it doesnt work ok. Why i would need to use I8 or I16 or I32 and with that FSbus they also cant give me any answer as well that makes it a bit more difficult. I also dont know who give those offset ranges to the HCSTD people maybe if i knew that i also would know if those offsets i use could be incorrect or maybe need to be something else... gr. Frans
  3. Hi Pete, It is for the software of HCSTD they use offsets in a range of 4810 and 4811 to controle there ecam select panel. I try to get it working inside the FSbus software but it doesnt work very well. some screens seems to switch but the next moment they dont work anymore and iam not sure what the reason is for that. I can see it get something because the screen shakes a bit but it doesnt want switch in all situations. now they have a other thing like i show below where they normaly can switch the screen with the keynboard letters like A = APU W = wheel ect ect. so i thought maybe it is possible to send a offset with a letter? hope it makes it a bit more clear now. 4810 ECAM Key ALL Bit 0 Byte Write Only Done ECAM Key APU Bit 1 Write Only Done ECAM Key BLEED Bit 2 Write Only Done ECAM Key COND Bit 3 Write Only Done ECAM Key DOOR Bit 4 Write Only Done ECAM Key ELEC Bit 5 Write Only Done ECAM Key ENG Bit 6 Write Only Done ECAM Key F/CTL Bit 7 Write Only Done ect It works ok when i push a letter on the keyboard but that is not what i want in my cockpit a keyboard..... gr. Frans M
  4. Pete, Maybe a very stuppid question but is it possible to send just a letter in a certain way? so if i have a offset and i want to let that offset send the letter A for exampleor do i say now someting very wierd? gr. Frans M
  5. Hi Pete, Thanksand i know you didnt know much of the Fsbus you already mention me that before but iam still very happy you try to help me here with it :) I will try tonight to see if the things you mention maybe will work. About the point of not going higher than 7 is also now not a problem so when it stands on 4567 it will not go to 4568 but also to 4570 and i think that it works now because it just read the value of that 0354 because there already is no option for that 8 but that works ok but ty for mention it. The other option you mention u have to check 3110 maybe it works as you mention i will look to the list i assum you mention this: XPNDR_1_DEC 66458 XPNDR_1_INC 65654 XPNDR_10_DEC 66457 XPNDR_10_INC 65653 XPNDR_100_DEC 66456 XPNDR_100_INC 65652 XPNDR_1000_DEC 66455 XPNDR_1000_INC 65651 XPNDR_DEC_CARRY 66459 XPNDR_INC_CARRY 66460 XPNDR_SET 65715 and XPNDR_1000_INC 65651 XPNDR_100_INC 65652 XPNDR_10_INC 65653 XPNDR_1_INC 65654 or this ones? 1054 Xpndr low NN dec 1055 Xpndr low NN inc 1056 Xpndr high NN dec 1057 Xpndr high NN inc but i will play with it and see what will happen.... and no in the fsbus there is nothing yet so far i can see only a direct response on the 4 digs at the same time. The only thing i know is the line to put value in so lets see if i can make something out of it but i assum there have to be a solution for it somehow. gr. Frans
  6. Pete, Once again thank you very much for your great explain here :) I think i understand what you mean my only problem is more how i would get it to work in a pratical way.... I use FSbus to controle my roteries and also the display. The display is no problem because with that offset 0354 it show nice the 4 digs and i also can set 1 rotery to that same offset and by turning it left or right the value goes up and down. Your point of using 2 roteries is exactly what i need to have as well because that is also how my panel in the hardware version looks like. Now i am only trying to see how i can go from a input of my rotery in Fsbus to the FSUIPC option as you mention: Xpndr low NN dec ect. So far i now can see is fsbus using offsets to communicate with the FS/FSUIPC but if iam right you tell me that it is a option now in the FSUIPC dropdownlist by keys/buttons... and i assum that for the Xpndr low NN dec as example there is no offset avalible. "XPONDR", 24, 4, 0x0354, I16, 0,RW+, 10,1,1, That is the line FSbus.ini use to read /write to the xponder(but that is all 4 digs together) So i now try to understand and figure out how i can send any communication from fsbus to the FSUIPC without a offset.... Hope i dont make a mess out of this pete i try to do my best to follow it all so if i make mistakes i am sorry for that but i am still in a learing proces here :)

  8. is there any option to active only 1 of the 7 segs in the transponder instead of all 4 together with the offset 0354? Just like in the FS itself you can click on one dig and it can go up or down now i only can get all 4 active so meening if it stands on 1200 (standard) and i get for exampl.: 5213 it wil take me days to turn those roteries to that number.... gr. Frans M
  9. Hi Pete, I assum that i just need to use that FCU than... i already did try that but it didnt work yet so will try to see it one more time again. Just thought that i didnt needed it because of the FSbus.. How it excatly works i also dont know but have a small look at a part of there ini file and you will see also the offset in it. 1, "MCP_FCU_Throughpass", 98,0, 0x04F2, I16,0,RW ,10,1,1, 1, "NDModes", 99,0, 0x04f4, I16,0,W, 10,1,1, 1, "NavaidsMAPCaptain", 204,0, 0x04F6, I16,,R, 10,1,1, 2, "VOR", 205, 0, 0, BIT,0, R,10,1,1, 2, "NDB", 206, 0, 0, BIT,1, R,10,1,1, 2, "ARP", 207, 0, 0, BIT,2, R,10,1,1, 2, "WPT", 208, 0, 0, BIT,3, R,10,1,1, 2, "PlanData", 209, 0, 0, BIT,4, R,10,1,1, 2, "VOR1NeedleActive",210, 0, 0, BIT,5, R,10,1,1, 2, "VOR2NeedleActive",211, 0, 0, BIT,6, R,10,1,1, 2, "AirbusLSMode", 212, 0, 0, BIT,10, R,10,1,1, 2, "AirbusTRK_FPA", 213, 0, 0, BIT,11, R,10,1,1, 2, "AirbusEXPED", 214, 0, 0, BIT,12, R,10,1,1, This say prob more to you than to me.... Will do some tests again and also ask arround by fsbus/pm boys... Thanks Pete Yes the delay part was a other threat and i did update the drivers of the videocart (Nvda) and the network (3com) and everything was solved. FM http://www.planesonline.nl
  10. Hello Peter, Maybe you can give me a help.. I have the Airbus ABGC of PM (PFD/ND) and i want to change for instance the ND from MAP to APP mode lets say the M key on the keyboard for MAP and the P key for PLAN mode. When i hit the keys on the keyboard it works fine... but now i want to do the same with the FSBUS so with a real hardware key or switch... I assum that it works like this.. normaly i would need the FCU of PM aswell to change the modes but than i need to use a mouse and when you build a cockpit you dont want any mouse anymore so FSBUS is one the alternetives... My idea is that the FSBUS send a offset to the FS2004/PM software and FSCUIP translate that to a action just like it looks you did hit the key on a keyboard. My question is do i need also the FCU software of PM to make this happen (what by the way doesnt work i already tested that) or is a correct offset already enouch to fake the FCU and still tells in this case to the PM software to change the ND from MAP tp APP or something like that? Just thought it would be a bit wierd to have PM FCU running as software while you also build it as hardware if you know what i mean. The strange thing is now that i can use FSbus in a way that it send all kind of offsets to the FS2004 and they als work ok ( like activate heading or change value of altitude) but that is all direct to the FS2004. But on the moment it needs to do something towards the PM software it doesnt work. Same question for the ECAM lower partin the docs of PM it say you can use the offset 5530 with different bite numbers connected to each screen (FUEL/ELEC/WHEEL ect.) I also cant get that to be activated. I maybe miss something? I guess the idea would work the same when ppl use a epic setup. FM http://www.planesonline.nl PS. the delay problem with the PM is solvedit was a driver problem
  11. Hello CJK, have a look at the software of the fs-communicator.. this works very nice for the airbus and you can also make it in a fly-by-wire version than. the link is http://www.flightsimulator.at FM http://www.planesonline.nl
  12. Peter, I think i solved my delay problem with the PM software:) I explain what i found and maybe it say you something more... I figured out that in my task manager there was a file called svchost.exe SYSTEM that "eat" a lot of mem of my comp. I did end that proces even with all the warings of MR. Bill and guess what.... delay and "pause" prob solved.... No idea where that file was needed for but without it the comp still works fine and so far i can see now i can crash a 100 times and it still startup in the nice way as it should be.... Hope it maybe say you something more or maybe helps others aswell that have maybe a similair problem with this... gr. FM
  13. Hello Pete, Sorry if my name makes mistakes but i use on all other forums the bwr014 name just on Project magenta u use my name... and no i have nothing to hide... But now you know it is me and the same one as before:) Getting back on your words.. Wasnt planning of chrasing that much but the point is that i crash because PM gives me wrong info lol so for PM iam still in the air while iam already for the FS under the ground by matter of speaking. Beside this i wonder if i would be the only one that holds up a record of chrashing ??? Guess 60% of the folks outside would have the same problem so meening they all must have a delay aswell? But ok i guess i am the only one so i also will have to see the problem by myself in the first place. On your question to use a other comp i can tell you i did and the results are excatly the same.. reason why i did put the msg on the forum of PM and see what they would come up with. The pause task was just a moment but NO iam not normaly going to sit behind the FS and than think after 5 min so lets have a coffee now... :) But sometimes the phone rings and i just noticed on that day that the pause sign in PM stay on while in FS the pause was gone. than after a while the PM continue again that day and conclusion crash again... because i wasnt at 500 ft but -50 already :) I just try to see with all of you where i need to find this problem i am also not waiting on this i am sure both of your progs work fine only not with me at the moment. I will at least try toninght again your new settings and see if it will make any progress and let you know that asap aswell. If you need more info of me plz also ask i also will do what i can do help in this way i already said to jonathan if i need to format my comps i also will... just like to solve this problem. I am sorry i did made a new subject on this will try to avoid that the next time pete. Than last point. Maybe i do make myself not clear enouch yet to you if so iam sorry... but i mean with close down comp that i can shutdown my computer with FS and when the PM software have that delay it will then just continue his turns and movements like i still have also FS running. I know that normaly when you stop FS or chrash the PM software automatic also stops until you start the FS up again. FM
  14. Hi Pete, This was the subject i did talked about with you before maybe you remember it:) http://forums.simflight.com/viewtopic.phighlight= Going to test your advice in the settings tonight and will let you know how it will go. Thanks again for your support so far :) FM
  15. hi Pete, thanks for the quick response:) Ok i will show you what i have now in my both ini files (changed already that 0 now) and maybe you can tell me if there is anything that wouldnt be needed there...
