    Why wouldn't they? If they had an A-7 handy I guess they would use it? Though if I'm honest it was the best carrier based aircraft that was correct for the period that I had in my hanger. The A-7 can carry air to air weapons on its pylons and it has a cannon so it has the weapons. What aircraft would they have used?

    When I have a spare $200,000,000 I'll buy a B-1b Lancer.

    Until then I'd consider getting something like an AN-2. I would like something I could maintain with myself and some friends, though surplus parts may be a problem with an AN-2.

    Or something smaller like an AN-14, I recon you could buy a rubbish one for $2000 and get it in the air with $10,000-$15,000. Two engines always make me feel safer.

  15. FSUIPC

    FUSIPC is mainly used to control some gauges and programs that work using flightsim data, like weather radar programs. Your controler should work with it, I don't see why should not. Only get FUSIPC if you are wanting to run gauges/programs that need it, until then you don't need it. I can't recall the site for it at this second, but I'm sure someone else will post it soon :wink: .

    FL180, How high do they get!!! what shocked me was how weak the nose of the aircraft was. Since the 50s/60s they made windshields out of laminates that can take most birds hiting them. I've seen a test at a test centre where a piegeon(dead of course) was fired at 250mph at a wind shield. There was not much left of the bird :( but the wind shield held up pretty well.

    It may be similer to my problem involving the same gauge. Start up fs then try starting a create a flight with an aircraft not using the F16.gau. Then click modual and put in F16.gau and its key. Then start a create a flight with the aircraft using the F16.gau and it may work, it did for me :) .

    Before I had created a flight with the aircraft set as the F-16, so I started a create a flight with another aircraft. Then I clicked modual and put in the key and F-16.gau. Then once I began a flight with the F-16 after that it worked. I think when I started the flight with the F-16 and tried to entre the key it had tried to run the radar already and found it didn't have the key so it locked it out and would not work even once the key was put in. But when it had not run the Radar it accepted it and the would let it run. Just an idea of what might of happend. Thanks again.

    As you can see I have tried different ones after F16.gau did not work.

    I downloaded the F-16 panel by Eric Marciano. The file is fullf16pnl.zip and can be found p12 of simvation's fs2002 panel section. I am running fs2004. The aircraft I wish to use the panel for is for fs2004/2002 and suggests the panel by Eric Marciano. In the manual that came with the plane and also the manual that came with the panel it does not say the radar won't work in fs2004. FSUIPC Version is 3.22. I can't see why it won't work, but I hope there is some good infomation here the can help figure it out. Thanks.
