Did you changed the My documents folder from it's original position?
Hi José,
On my test and development system my "My Documents" is on a different drive altogether, but FS2004 seems to manage okay -- the Flight Sim folder is there with its Flight and WX files.
Best,
Pete
Peculiar. I restored the "My Documents" folder to its default location, ran FS2004 and now it works fine. Thanks for the advice and help!

Yes. My drive (60G) has 3 partitions. One for the operating system and programs, one for the paging file and one for My Documents. Could this somehow be the problem?
Thanks,

Just bought Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. After installing, I click on the program startup icon. The FS2004 splash screen comes up for about 2 seconds and then disappears without ever running the flight simulator.
I've tried uninstalling and re-installing many times but still the same result.
Any suggestions?

Unable to Run FS2004

MY DOCUMENTS were on a different partition when I installed FS, hence it did not run. Once I restored them to the default location FS ran fine. I noticed FS created a folder in MY DOCUMENTS to store my personal settings/fights/etc. upon first run. It may be that FS is programmed to create this folder only in the default MY DOCUMENTS location. I'm running XP pro so I don't know if the same is so on other Microsoft OSs.
Now that the FS user folder is created, I will try to move MY DOCUMENTS back to the partition that I had them originally and see how FS handles that.
