    Hi all, my Host was unav. due some troubles with my provider.

    If u connect to my host, you will read "24h_VS_HOST" on chat, thats my Computer running (or trying to run) 24h. I connect also to my host via Home computer using "sufi.homeunix.net" as sufi.

    When connected and alone, you can change scenery, boats, wheather or anything you want, but if there are some others connected, you should speak eachother to change various things, and only one should do the changes. I usually change the scenery to aegean, when im back from work, and nobody is online. I have just saved the standard conf. as "hosting", and load that everytime to reset the values which may be changed from someone else.

    Hi travis, I tried to connect your TS, had permanent timeout errors, i solved this problem on my server with server.ini settings:

    Radio Messages

    Well, here i have post from Ilan :)

    The radio.def file is used to add radio messages for events of the boat position or navigation inside a specific area.

    Here are the detailes of the radio communications file and voice, as you can see there are not only coordinates that are taken into account but also speed and heading, depth is not yet used.

    The structure of this file is as follows:

    East coordinate, North coordinate, min heading, max heading, min speed, max speed, range

    East,north - the coordinates from which the radio message is "sent"

    min,max speed - speed for which the radio message is in effect (kt)

    Range - max range in meter from source of radio message, for which the

    message in in effect.

    Example:

    29:14E 41:02N 0 120 0 500 2000

    Incoming vessel, welcome to Kartal, please visit our beautiful old town and

    magic castle.

    29:14E 41:02N 180 270 0 500 2000

    Departing vessel, thank you for visiting Kartal, have a safe journey and

    visit us again.

    29:14E 41:02N 300 360 0 500 4000

    Incoming vessel, you are approaching Kartal harbour, the marina entrance is

    on the other side.

    Thanks for these tips. I still have question regarding scenery. say I want to use Between the Seas and Aegean is already running on the host. How do I do that. I know the idea is to have multi player but it would seem a bit silly if one player apears with a galleon and another arrives with a cargo and a third with one of Jason's offerings. I would prefer to make a rendez-vous with another player in a scenery of our choice with the type of ship of our choice. Does this make sense to anyone ?

    There is also the possibility of hosting a session on our own computers BUT as my friend from Cornwall will tell you, it does not seem to work. The only time I have managed to connect to a host has been your one and had a nice little session with AEFRON before he had to leave to go to work.

    Hi Victor and others.

    It sure makes much sense to rendez-vous and meet at sufi.homeunix.net, and if i get some Information early enough, i can set the recommended scenery and wheater for such a rendez-vous.

    But i think it is also possible, you can go to recommended menues when online and set all the things as you wish, try it once.

    As long as Network modus not so safety for host computer everyone can change everything (unfortunately) :?

    Hi again,

    I was on Vacation for Weekend, Host was Online all the time.

    I Forgot my Virus scanner was tasked to Friday 20:00 GMT+1, so this may caused the host disconnected at this time...:(

    I just set up host running permanently till next crash...

    Here are some points to help connecting and running the Game:

    1. Run your VS and kick Sail Now button.

    2. Go to Boat menu and remove all the boats before connecting

    3. Try to connect now, (SUFI.HOMEUNIX.NET) after connecting you might be located near Host Position without a boat.

    4. Go to Map and point your mouse to a location you want to join.

    5. Hit "Move to Point" Button, and "Camera Pos" Button.

    6. Now you can go to Boats menu and chose your Vessel and hit "Add"

    7. Before you leave the Session, PLEASE REMOVE YOUR BOAT ONLY and hit "Disconnect" Button to leave the Host running without any Mess

    8. Don´t use TAB button to switch between other Boats, this might cause some funny reactions.

    9. HOST is running as dedicated server, so you can join any time and check if someone is online.

    10. Server Mainteance is done at tuesday, thursday and weekends 8.00 PM

    22:10 GMT+1 4 sailor online.

    Framerate went down to 6, we decided to remove some boats.

    abba has sunfish, host sails on comet36, gunter decided to win the race and got fisher30, i didnt realise which boat got joe.

    as soon as we removed other boats, especially U1 (Buggy or much poly?) framerate 20-24fps :)

    Startsign, waypoint A is about 4miles away...

    Its real dark here , wind from239 about 23knots, 16f waves to go.

    soon i see Waypoint at bug, but gunter is already there, anchor down and 6pack Budweisser on deck...

    Well, its fun but Network has to be some safe mode, so the settings can not be changed from others...
