Pete (or anyone else), I hope you have an idea what else I should look into. FS9 was running great for months and started showing some strange but fairly reproducible behavior pretty much after I installed the FS9.1 patch and the new FSUIPC3.40. Typically on final approach, most of the menu bar disappears (only PMDG and Modules are still there). Shortly thereafter (usually after switching views) the system locks up (CTRL+ALT+DEL doesn't do anything). I uninstalled everything and installed the following components from scratch today: FS9 FS9.1 patch PMDG NG B737-600/700 FSUIPC3.40 (and I checked the version in the Modules folder) I flew 10 times from KPHX to KTUS today and the same thing happened 9 out of 10 times. Interestingly, this whole thing stops when I uninstall the FS9.1 patch. I have a pretty high end computer (AMD FX-53, 1GB memory, ATI X800XT with latest drivers, Windows XP professional with SP2). Do you have any idea what could cause this? I double checked the installation, checked log files and am running out of ideas. Thanks Dirk
