  1. Thankyou Roland for your input.

I dont use both at the same time. I use the stick for Airbus and the Yoke for Boeing etc. I understand about the AC specific assignments but as you said the .ini file doesnt save each controller seperately.

Is this an FS9 problem or can FSUIPC differentiate between the 2 contollers when each is used sperately? Or will it see them a simply deviced 1 etc?

    Cheers

    Doug

  2. Sorry for the delay Charles, been a tad on the busy side.

In digging around FSUIPC i discovered (according to my minma intelligence anyways!) that i could only assign keystrokes to 'joystick 1' whether that be my yoke or flightstick. The logging page didnt help me.

As long as i made each parallel button on the yoke and the stick execute the same command in FS9 there was no problem, no conflicts. I couldnt see a way of telling FSUIPC to differentiate between the 2 sticks. No matter, im noe happy with what i have.

    Cheers

    Doug

  3. Guys, i have bought a CH Flightstick to use when flying Airbus. I use the CH Yoke when flying Boeings.

My question is, i would like to set the buttons up differently on the stick than on the yoke. Will i find conflicts within FS9 by doing this or will FSUIPC see each controller as different and therefore i can use the buttons any way i wish?

For example, if button 1 on the yoke is PTT, will button 1 on the stick have to be PTT or can i change that in FSUIPC without affecting the other controller?

Sorry if that doeasnt make sense, its been a long day...............

    Cheers

  4. I have the CH quad and for some reason, the 4th throttle lever (actually 5th from the left hand end) although mapped to work in Fs9, does not ebgage reverse thrust. I diont have all the throttles linked together rather they act independantly.

Is there some way to get the reverse working on this lever? I have recently tried recalibrating and assigning etc but it does not work.

I have the latest version of FSUIPC registered.

    Thanks for your help

    Doug :?

  5. Hi there TigerBob

Can be frustrating with the FSUIPC thing, but once you get it its great. I dont use the CH manager as thats to much for me, and FSUIPC works just fine. Now to your question. Try this:

    1. Calibrate your CH Quad in windows, being sure to keep all stick in the middle (use ruler as this helps keep them straight)

    2. Open FS9 and make sure in the control/assignments tab that you have assigned each lever to the throttle you want it to control. You should have 4 throttles to assign here.

    3. Check that the sensitivities sliders are at max and no null zone

    4. Open FSUIPC and go to page 3 wher the thottles are

    5. MOve all throttles back to the detent position

    6. Starting with no 1 throttle, pull it all the way back and click reverse, then up to the detent holding slight pressure back and click the bottom idle, then push it forward to the top end of the detent and push the top idle button, then finally all the way up to the max position. DO this for all 4 throttles.

There is no reason why no4 should not work, unless you havenet assigned it in FS9. The numbers dont really matter so much in the calibration of the throttles`

Hope that helps a little and sorry for rambling bro

  6. Hi Pete

I am trying to set the throttle quad buttons to VNAV and LNAV using FSUIPC reg version, but when trying to assign a command for a keystroke, i cant see VNAV or LNAV in the optiond to choose from. Are they under another name or is there another wayto assign the command ? I have at present in FS2004 main commands assigned the V key and the L key to that function on the PMDG and the LDS767.

    Any ideas please?

    Cheers

  7. Say, just a quick question: I want to set my visibility settings using FSUIPC and see the default distances in the appropriate boxes. Are these measurements in feet? Meters? Miles?

I want to change them to Clear=30 miles, Cloudy=30 miles, Overcast = 20 miles and rain =10 miles.

What should i enter in the boxes to achieve that?

    Thanks for you help sir

  8. Hi Peter

After figuring out a few things, i thoughjt i read somewhere that the Throttle Quadrant allows the assigning of flaps (which i have done vis FSUIPC) and landing gear.

Is it possible to assign the landing gear to an axis on the quadrant? I want to assign it to the far left lever - i think its the x axis (could be wrong there bro)

    I have 3.44 version

    Any help appreciated

    Warm regards

  9. Hi chaps

More than happy with my Quad, but am finding it a little confusing in some areas. I can and have set the reverseres to work using FSUIPC. I have my flaps working to on one of the levers.

However, i noticed thatn in setting the throttles, that engine 4 does not want to be calibrated seperately. Dont know why?

Also, in FS9, i am assigning some of the buttons to things like - Autothrottle ser, and Altimiter set etc and they simply dont want to work! Could it be that i am using the PMDG aircraft and it doesnt like it?

Is there any other way to do the assigning other than the big scary CH Mapping tool!!!!!

Any help would be good please

    Cheerio
