    Wondering if any patches will be available for this scenery pkg by Dave.

    1. The municipal docks are in use at Juneau (and work great in conjunction with Alaska Glacier Bay and TF).

    2. Northern Lumber Company doesn't quite fit, but there is a logging

    operation very near that is included with TF.

    3. Oscar Johnson Logging Company doesn't match up to the terrain.

    4. Hood Bay Cannery doesn't fit either.

    For the time being I have just "blocked" the bgl's for #'s 2, 3, and 4.

    Thoughts/Comments?

  2. I was toodling up Yes Bay and saw some carabou in the water. They were lifting their heads up and down. Cool touvh I liked it:) But I think that is the type of animation I'm looking to creat only more mobile.

    A week after registering I got a reply back from scenerydesign.org. Hopefully they can head me in the right direction as well.

    :shock: Animated caribou in Yes Bay!!?? I've been up Yes Bay hundreds of times and have never seen them.........but I'd like to. :lol:

  3. Hi

    Can you post some shots (with the coordinates) of the new scenery? I have installed MF Lodges but when I go to Thorne Bay I don't know what to look for :oops:

    I clearly see the "old" FSE scenery for this location and the nearby Misty's place but when I stop the player cannot see any new building

    Thanks

    Unfortunately Guido, you must choose one or the other of the sceneries as MF Lodges at Thorne Bay is right on top of Misty's Place...or is it the other way around?

  4. Hi Léon,

    The faulty beams of light are really no big deal. I am wondering about the coastline at Loring that leaves the house, SUV, and a half-dozen trees suspended in the air.

    I only have default mesh, other than the Misty Fjords installations, and my coastline at Loring looks different than the screenshot you included with the Loring package. I see that Guido's screenshot, even though textureless, has the same coastline as my initial screenshot post.

    This is your screenshot at the docks to compare with the screenshot I provided above.

  5. I've tried two different copies of KFF5 with the same results. Mainly at the docks, the house and SUV are suspended in mid-air and the beams of light start above the lightpoles.

    All the other MF and MM sceneries/coastlines/roads are working correctly, terrain at 20, etc., etc.

    Any ideas?

  6. Maule M7-260 Amphibian

    Roll sounds in the amphib are present when at a standstill or even when "cold and dark".

    After fooling with it this morning, I discovered it is a glitch in the amphib's sound.cfg (...\Maule M7-260 sounds\sound.2)

    Open the sound.2 folder and then it's sound.cfg

    Scroll down to:

    [GROUND_ROLL]

    filename=mroll

    flags=125218

    viewpoint=1

    minimum_volume=6000 //<---------change 9500 to 6000

    maximum_volume=12000

    minimum_speed=3

    maximum_speed=100

    minimum_rate=0.80

    maximum_rate=1.8

    link=GROUND_ROLL1

    That will fix it up!! No more constant roll sounds when sitting still and/or at shutdown, but they do kick in when you are moving.

    The Maule Amphib doesn't have touchdown sounds either. The little "hop and squeal" sounds. It doesn't really need them, especially if most of your flying is at dirt strips and water. If you do want to add them in, just add these sections in right above the [GROUND_ROLL] section:

    [left_TOUCHDOWN]

    filename=cmtouch1, cmtouch2, cmtouch3

    [right_TOUCHDOWN]

    filename=cmtouch4, cmtouch5, cmtouch6

    Enjoy!!

  8. That's okay (differing opinions), we all have personal preferences and that's what makes it all so fun.

    For me, I slew my aircraft to the observation area at the top of Deer Mountain and just sit and admire the weather and scenery. The view of the Ketchikan Harbor area and over Ketchikan Lake is nothing short of spectacular. One of the best views you'll ever get.

    I recently tried a test flight from Deer Mountain G.C. in a Super Cub, right after liftoff I pulled back the throttle to idle and "sailed" to PAKT without a hitch. A lot of fun! I'm going to go try a full engine-out attempt on my next flight.

    Have fun bush-pilots!

    Happy Flying

  9. Here are some thoughts:

    *****

    FSE ver. 1.10- New Updated Version

    http://www.lagosim.com/default.asp?act=9〈=eng

    *****

    for the PAKT FSE discussed...Check the following:

    Go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\LAGO,

    open the Lago folder,

    2 folders inside named Common and FSE,

    open the FSE folder,

    6 folders inside,

    open the Data folder,

    should see "59683271_ketchikan.SE2"..........if it's there, close the folder out and go to next step.

    Back to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\LAGO,

    open the Lago folder,

    open the 'Common" folder,

    4 folders inside,

    open the "Tracks" folder,

    should find "59683271_ketchikan.OSC"........if it's there,

    back up to folder "Sounds",

    should find "59683271_ketchikan.SC", if it's there, you have the PAKT FSE correctly installed.

    My next concern would be whether all the default textures and bmps were included in the initial LAGO FSE install.

    All the LAGO FSE bmp's are here:

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\LAGO\FSE\BMP

    All the LAGO "common" textures are here

    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\LAGO\Common\Texture

    I don't know if that will be any help at all, but maybe it's a start to figuring out what is going wrong at your end.
