hello evryone from ...wedge the misty moorings short hops guy :oops: ...i was really hoping that mistys would evolev to include tongass fjords...like alexf , pby and others have mentioned ..we really need to get all the alaska bush pilots under 1 roof... i,am glad to see doug has chimmed in here and am hoping mistys will get a upgrade to include tongass...i,d like to start up the "not so short hops" between these beutifull scenerys....but we need to get all the bush pilots who like flying the alaska pan handle together under 1 roof 8) i have been flying with the timberwolves {twf} http://www.timberwolfaviation.com/ and the vfg groups in multiplayer flights all over the world...its great to get 10 people together in mp to fly along and explore and chat on teamspeak ..but thats only going to happen if we pool our resources together to make it happen ....i only wish i had the computer skills to help ...hopefully the bfu tongass wild guy, will talk to doug and dan from mistys place and combine the 2 into one great site....francois, it is great to have your servers available for the bush pilots all over the world but there is really no reason the misty , emma and other bush flying enthusiasts cant share 1 server together ...from my experience with the virtual flight group... if you get 10 people together for a flight your doing pretty good.....just my thoughts, and crossing my fingers hoping for a updated misty/tongass link WeDGe :wink:

hello everyone ....i have seen some renewed interest in flying multiplayer here in the new tongass fjords forums.....i hope we can get a group together to fly in this beautifull area , but for now if anyone would like ...this is a open invitation for anyone interested in mp flights to get thier feet wet and fly with the timberwolfs{TWF} this sunday at 1845 zulu ..the info is here... http://homepage.ntlworld.com/molyned/flightplans2
its not tongass but still cool to be flying with fellow bush pilot,s ...hopefully in the near future we will be able to get a group together to fly around tongass and misty fjords......come join us ..you,ll be glad you did :D WeDGe :wink:

hi holger, and welcome back......i figured i just needed to get your attention, lol.....this is what i have :D
i have zero 0_ut_*.bgl files in my fsaddon/mistyfjords/landscape/scenery folder :!: plenty of misty fjords files but nothing with UT in it whatsoever
this is whats in my ut backup...lol...forgive the tease
and this is whats in my mf backup folder
what next, mistro....and tks WeDGe....i have a feeling i,ll be searching for 10 UT files :D

darn it ..i figured i,d continue my original thread here...after fixing the mesh by renaming the fsg cordilla mesh file that shares the same area as mf to bak all looked well until i went down to prince rupert int,l...now i think this is not mesh related as i have missing landclass and no water all along the mf boarder south of prince rupert ..i suspect the ut mfv4 patch although all the required files seam to have been moved to thier correct folders....this is what i have

this is what my landclass viewer ver1 shows whith the patch installed inside mf border near prince rupert ,where the scenery is correct

sorry to be a pain holger i know all these patches and version are probely driving you nuts...i hope your vacation was relaxing ..that pic of the vally sure looked so......if you have any idea what i might try, it would be greatly appreciated.....i can live with it sence its not screwing up my misty install just the area south of the boarder, but would be nice to get fixed up

with alittle help from my friends at mm inc i have tracked down the culprit...it appears that some how i had the fsg cordilla mesh installed in 2 locations 1 in fs world scenery and 1 in my own folder in the addon scenery folder..i deleted the one in fs/world/scenery and also renamed the one mesh file that shares the same area as mistys and everything is back to normal......now holger will have 1 less thing to catch up on when he gets back ...but if you still care to comment ,please do...WeDGe :D

lol ,thats what i figured...cant wait to see what he thinks...i,am leaning towards an update to the update as i only have this after updating UT to version 1.2 and patching it accordinally...looks like i,ll be flying around vancover plus and the cascades till he returns..lol...see ya WeDGe :D

i have completed a complete reinstall of fs9 after having a crash about a month ago....all has gone well until i began checking out my mm inc addons within mf.....i have UT v1.2 and the v4 ut_mf update installed and batch files ran and accounted for.....i also have the fsg cordilla mesh.....also ut_bc_hs with the new sebchold batch sucefully applied and holgers updated us_nc_vp installed...these last shouldent affect mf, but who knows
my problem.......i have a mismatch in the terrain area north of stewart up to last chance lake which causes the river to climb up the side of the mountains and also the glacier to run up the side of the mountain instead of being centered between them ..also all the addons that should be between those mountains end up buryed into them ...its as if the terrain has shifted 100 yrds to the east
the rest of mf and mm inc addons appear normal its just this area north of stewart ..like 1 bgl file is out of place
[ i have a better discription and more pics posted in the tech support forum over at mm inc.....couldent get them all posted here...sorry]
i have tried disabling scenery ,also unselecting the fsg mesh and ut and rearranging stuff in my scenery librarys order to no avail....like i said its only this small corner of mistys that is misaligned.....its gona take a genius {Holger}.to figure this one out ...any ideas will be greatly appreciatted???????....i can live with it this way but would love to fix it up right.....WeDGe :D

i,ve searched high and low and cannot find the ut_mf_v4 patch anywhere for download...i have installed the version 3 patch ...should i go with v4 or is it similar....i have noticed a rift in the mesh just north of the mf wilderness
along the back edge heading north from stewart the glacier no longer lines up inbetween the mountains but is shifted to 1 side appering to climb up the mountain side and jacks lost creek if stuck in a mountain side....probelly all a result of updating to ut v1.2 ...WeDGe :D

thanks holger and francois for you,re advice and insite ....i know it wasent vancover that caused my crase but just the straw that broke the camals back....this is unlikly to happen to anyone else ..so dont be afraid and go for it..WeDGe

well i cant say that i,am happy with my options ..i have now spent all night uninstalling everything i can before deleteing folders and am looking at atleast monthes of work to get back to where i was before installing vancoverafter installing vancover and booting fs9 and seeing the anommalies in the pic above , only then did i start checking the forums here and hopefully fixing the problem ..if you ask me it was the install of vancover that has now wiped out my system and it will be quit a while before i,am backi,am not trying to condem anyone here as i realize 98 percent of the peopele will not run into the catastrophic event that wiped me out ....although a refund of sorts would be nice seeing that i have an unbelievable amount of work to do now that i,am starting freash ....i will now always make a back up copy of my scenery config file before installing anything..........not happy WeDGe... :twisted: qwick hand me something i can smash into little pieces....lol i feel better already :mrgreen:

tks holger ..looking in my scenery library i only have some addon folders .no default folders are present ..like i said ,and dont ask me how it happened but all my default and much of my addon scenery is missing ...i have nothing ...my scenery config files starts with some addons at number 123 and ends at about 150....go figure ..do you no if i can run the fs2004 disk and reinstall them ...WeDGe

well it had to happen to somebody .i just wish it wasent always me...i installed vancouver per the instructions and all 3 files appear at the top of my addon scenery list...i also deleted the areas in holgers freeware files for ut canada bc ab upgrades and unchecked some other area in the library that i thought might conflict with vancouver after installation this is what i have
for some reason my pic isent showing but basically it would sghow the vancover city and all the boats in the harbour with no landclass at all just blue underneth evrything
now i have no more default airports or scenery anywhere in the world...after having this problem i thought i would update my fsnav database and thats when every airport navaid and everything else on the face of the planet disappered ...my in the create flight screen of fs9 in the select airport box ,i only show usa and canada with only 2 state/provinces and 14 cities avalable out of the entire world........instead of flying around enjoying this new scenery with my friends i think i,am looking at a complete reinstall of fs9 and everything which will probely take a month at least....yes i,am FREAKING OUT...wouldent you....what the heck happened here .i thought if i uninstalled vancover then i would be back in bizness ..nope ,still screwed.....holger , francois...HELP....WeDGe

wow vinni ,this is the best map available for misty fjords to date...You sir are a genius....thanks very much...ps with your permission i,d love to post a link to the download over in the forums i moderate at misty moorings inc..or if you like post it in the short hops forum and i,ll make it an annocment so its up there on top.....this will be a great help for people flying the daily trips and dynascene senerios that we have over thier ....thanke again WeDGe :D

At last......i can finally log on..i,ve been following this group for a while now and sence my multiplayer friends alex f, heli, and pby are here along with that mad repainter chris b and others ....thank you francois for fixing my log in problem...its good to be here and i hope to be able to take part in some online events soon......i,am working alot nowadays { which is why i dont do anything for the" not so " short hops at mistys anymore :cry: ..but i can still find time for some multiplayer fun now and then...looking forward to flying with you all...lol.and teaching heli how to fly a fix wing :shock: ...cheers WeDGe 8)
