okay i reinstalled everything and it works now, thanks for your help. its greatly appreciated

yep i used notepad

this is what i put in the file. [simConnect] level=Verbose console=No file= C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\SimConnect%01u.Log file_max_index=9 the file is located here C:\Users\Dougies\Documents\Flight Simulator X Files

i typed "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Modules\SimConnect%01u.Log" But there is still no log file.

i did type "file=path to FSX\Modules\SimConnect%01u.Log" but the only files in the modules folder are FSUIPC Documents, FSUIPC Install, FSUIPC.DLL and FSUIPC.key

RAASPRO does load. i made a "Simconnect.ini" file and saved it into the Flight SImulator X Files I copy and pasted the text below into notepad and saved file but i do not no where i can find the actual log? i ran fsx after i made it but cant locate the log PS, i am using windows 8 if that is relevant. okay so i downloaded fsuipc, installed it , as i ran fsx i expected it to pop up asking me to trust fsuipc but it never... i also noticed fsuipc is not in the addons menu of fsx. Any help would be very much appreciated.
