  1. FSPS Thanks That's all I needed to know.

Despite your rather caustic answer I  will most likely buy the product as it looks promising.

We all know how FSX, being a 2006 32 bit program can be unstable. I was just worried Fibre may change things on a permanent basis. I am not alone in this concern. I have read on other forums many posts about what Fibre permanently changes in FSX. I think mainly because of your line rewriting  the FSX graphics engine. It might be advisable to really clarify things to insert CLOSING FIBER APPLICATION WILL MAKE YOUR FSX EXACTLY AS IT WAS BEFORE RUNNING FIBER or words to that effect somewhere in your product description.

  2. Hi again FSPS

I have read the manual, All I can see related to my question is "Close FSX Fiber Accelerator first and then FSX, to avoid changing any FSX settings." so I believe my question is a valid one and not one that should be answered by "you haven't read the manual".

The OOM question aside, I have read concerns on other posts regarding what Fibre actually physically changes. I am concerned about your product description which states By – in other words – rewriting  the FSX graphics engine". Even though you say the .cfg is untouched, does this mean registry changes or any permanent changes to the structure of FSX? Understandably you don't go into what happens under the hood so to speak.

so my most important question is this. if I uninstall Fibre in the correct manner with the uninstaller will my FSX be completely as it was before installation of Fibre? I am not trying to be difficult but I believe these are important concerns and deserve a response.

    Thanks again for your patience

    Best Regards

  3. Hi again

Many thanks to all for helpful suggestions. FSPS advises Fibre cannot create OOMs.

However the gist of my last post was to say that I had repeated OOMs while using Fiber Accelerator and none when not using it under identical conditions. Same plane, runway, airport and settings.Like I said I rarely get OOMs and then with Fibre three in a row just trying to take off. What I  believe may be happening is Fibre is constantly changing FSX settings on the fly which could upset FSX's delicate balance.

The other thing I would like clarified is this. If you mistakenly turn off Fibre before FSX and it changes your frame rate in your config to unlimited is this a permanent change you have to go into your config to fix. I've no doubt this is a good product but please a little more clarification.

    Thanks again

    Cheers

  4. Hi

I tried the Fiber Accelerator demo once with PMDG 737NGX at Innsbruck approach with encouraging results. Then at Aerosoft Thessaloniki, a fairly intense airport, with the same plane I had problems. After using up 3 of my remaining demos and getting OOMS at every attempt at take off, well within the allotted demo time,  I gave up, uninstalled Fiber and flew ok. From the reviews I'm seeing the program looks good. Am I doing something wrong? I know the program is not there to fix OOM problems but the point is I have rarely experienced OOM problems before and with Fiber active I got three in a row.

Rig is i73770, 16gig ram, Windows 7 64 bit, Nvidea GTX 660 2 gig. I installed as advised in the manual in the (x86) folder on my SSD. My FSX Program is on another drive. I would like some advice before using up my last demo.

    Thanks

  5. Hi

    Re Feelthere Phenom

I click on the little mic icon on the glareshield as instructed in the Phenom manual to get Toga and there is nothing there. No response, no recognition. I've tried all mouse clicks right left and middle. Nothing? The only way I can assign Toga is with a joystick button but this freezes my engines during flight and I have to click the Toga joystick button again to free the engines and the plane does not seem to like this action. Help would be appreciated. I have EZDok and FSUIPC. Windows 7  64 bit. I've followed the manual to the letter.

    Thanks for any help

    cheers

  6. Hi

The Feelthere Phenom manual says to set Nav2 Radio to 115.6. No matter what I do I can't seem to select NAV 2. I've pushed and clicked the Nav putton on the bezel of the G1000 with the mouse wheel and pushed and rolled left and right mouse buttons and nothing happens. The only way I can get NAV 2 to display is with the CDI soft key. I have the Carenado Phenom and that changes by clicking the NAV knob.

    Any help please

    Thanks
