  1. Sounds like the SIRP snow effects textures weren't installed right or are not available to FS for some reason. Inside your default FS9/Effects folder is a "Texture" folder. All the the textures that FS uses for the wide variety of FS effects reside there. The following files from the "SIRP.zip/Effects/Texture" folder should be placed into the "FS9/Effects/Texture" folder:

    "sirpfire2.bmp"

    "sirpfire.bmp"

    "snowdrifters2.bmp"

    "snowdrifters.bmp"

In particular, the last two are for the animated blowing snow you're missing. Double check to see if they're all there in the right place and see if that solves your problem...let us know how you fare, and we can go from there if there's another problem.

That was EXACTLY what was missing! :D And it was totally my mistake. Ed, you're the greatest! My happiness is now absolute and complete.

    Thanks a trillion. :D

  2. First of all, I am having a fantastic time with this SIRP add on. I would have never flown this area of TF without it and I want to thank you the author for the great quality of this scenery.

I am just having a slight texture problem with the snowdrift and I just can't figure out why. I am having big blocky white squares flying across the runways or on top of mountains, but nothing like the nice effect I could see on screenshots. My guess is a missing/corrupt texture, but I just don't know which one and where it is supposed to be (snowdrift.bmp?)

Everything else is working perfectly and no other missing texture. Of course, this problem can come from something else.

    Can you please help?

  3. First time I see that :? Could you help?

Got CH Flight Yoke Pro USB + CH Pedals USB and CH Quadrant 6 axes throttle USB. All axes are working fine in WinXP under the calibration window. I could assign all of them into FS2004, but when I go into FSUIPC/Joystick window, it seems that it doesn't read anything coming from one of the axe of the CH quadrant 6 axes. (readings are 0,0 no matter what). All other axes are read correctly.

I'm not sure this is coming from FSUIPC though as this axe, although assigned in the controls/assignement menu of FS, doesn't seem to have any effect on any plane (my mixture engine 1 control).

    Thanks.
