  1. Saitek software is MAD CATZ which works well. When the joystick is not working in FSX and I switch to Saitek control panel, the joystick/throttles work there. I don't think it is a Windows issue but an FSX issue. I read in Avsim forum that somebody wrote an applet code in Directinput to compensate for the dropout but I don't know how to do that.
  2. I am running FSX on a Windows 8.1 64 with the latest updates along with Saitek X52 throttles and stick with the latest driver update from Saitek. I began experiencing controller dropout while running FSX in windowed mode and switching between FSX and EZDOK. I went through researching a solution and found out about turning off USB selective in power options as well as power management of each USB port in device manager. I also unchecked pausing the sim in the general options of FSX. However, the problem persists. I installed FSUIPC4 and registered because I read so many good things about it keeping the controllers connected. However, FSUIPC4 didn't recognize my controller in the Buttons tab. I am confused because when I start FSX, without switching windows, the controllers are recognized. Then I deselect the controller from FSX options, go to add-on to start FSUIPC to program my controller in the Buttons tab but FSUIPC doesn't respond to any button input. Then I go back to FSX options and can re-enable the controllers and use them until I switch windows then I lose them. So, what am I doing wrong so that FSUIPC4 doesn't respond to my controller? Thanks
