Hi Alastair,
point taken, thanks for the information, and yes, I agree with you on the point about Helge maybe wanting to go off in another direction.
but you know what us flight simmers are like, were a funny bunch at the best of times, and the thought of us not having something that we enjoy using as much as FSN makes us come out in hives . . . .
all the best,

Hi All,
so we knows the name, but, thats all I know, and I wanted to try and find out more about this person if I could, IE where do they live, what do they do etc, and how did they come up with the idea of FS Nav in the first place,
that would be a good starting point, then we could move on to things such as what they would like to change / include in their next version, if they have any thoughts on that at all.
all I know right now is that I bought a product from a person named Helge Schroeder , who I don't know what country they are in, or what they do. I'm not talking about breaking any privacy laws here, just trying to get a little more information on the author.
for instance, I know a few of the PMDG people, and what they do, as do about the PSS guy's as well, then theres Gary Summons as well, but Helge is a complete mystery.
thanks,

Hi,
I think that the point of my post has been somewhat missed,
what I was looking for is some information on the author of this fantastic program, not a wish list for the next version,
it's always nice to know a few things about someone that has given us a piece of software that is used almost as much as FS9 itself is.
thats what I was looking for.
many thanks,

Hi All,
I am just curious,
does anyone know anything about the author at all, IE where do they live, what do they do etc.
and, what is planned for the next version of this fantastic add-on, even more so, is there a next version, and will we have to wait for FSX before we see it.
many thanks,
-
Hi,
yes there is, you make the flight plan in FS Nav, then export it to FS9, then in the PSS FMC page, click on rte, then on flight plans, and own routes or FS routes, something like that, but, I am going from memory here, and I need an up-grade more than my PC does,
hope this helps you with this,
Steve,

Hi,
I have FS Scene, all three volumes, but, I can't seem to locate where it is installed for the life of me.
I did not change anything at the install, I let it install to whatever came up at the time, for instance, my FS9 is in the C> Prog Files > MS Games > FS9 etc,
thanks,
FS Navigator Author.

actualy, what I would like to see in FS Navigator, whatever version it may be, or added to, is the facility to be able to run FS Nav out-side of FS, this would be great for checking things, and maybe doing some flight planning, then saving them for using in FS later on.
I realise that we can just fire up FS and do the planning in there, but, you could install just the FS Nav on a laptop for example, and make you're plans ready, then just import / export them into FS when you are ready,
just a thought.
