Dear all,
First of all, I have been reading a lot of posts on this forum which helped me a lot. Thanks for this. Today, I was searching for a specific answer to my problem, but didn't find it. So here I go with my first post.
I am making a bendix/king style hardware display. I have several hardware displays, encoders and switches which I am controlling using an FSUIPC/java/arduino combo. Everything is working as it should (finally!) in the standard FSX planes.
However, I wanted to test this in some of my favorite plane add-ons: the Just Flight Piper Warrior, and the Carenado Piper Arrow. In the Carenado add-on, if I am incrementing e.g. the NAV1 freq, the fsx variable gets updated, and I am seeing this both on the fsx panel and on my hardware panel.
In the Just Flight add-on: incrementing a freq, say the NAV1 will show on my hardware display but not on the FSX panel. However, the sim is using my frequency that I have set using my hardware.
E.g.: I start using the just flight warrior. NAV1 is showing (on fsx panel on pc screen) 110.70. My hardware display is showing this freq as well. Now I change this freq on the hardware panel to 109.50. My hardware is showing this on the displays (109.50), but the fsx panel is still showing 110.70. However, using FSinterrogate I can check that fsx is actually using the 109.50 freq and I see my VOR1 acting accordingly.
Conclusion: my add-on panel is not updated when I change the fsx variables without turning the on-screen knobs. Is this an issue that can be resolved? Moreover, apparently the Just Flight add-on has this problem, but the Carenado doesn't...
Thanks in advance for your answer.
Kind regards.
