[Great circle route]

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to make a realistic great circle route with Flightsim Commaner 8.6? I am trying to make a Luxembourg-Los Angeles route, but by using high altitude plan, I get a crazy route that goes all over the place. Navaid plan works better, but there's no waypoints/coordinates over the seas. This is not very realistic, is it? Is Navaid plan what I must use to make a great circle route? Is there any other feature around great circle route planning that I don't know of?
