Eureka Pete, many thanks for trusting me, i got there (even though i didn't know what was "a separate small file" and what was the "installer download"). So i downloaded both; couldn't install the dll, realised it was SMALL , so installed the other one. To then see that Bullguard had 'quarantined' it. But i have worked around that and now successfully updated to 4.948. Excellent! FSX, via FSPS Booster, now runs fine; particularly enjoying A2A Piper Commanche. Largely through self-inflicted confusion, senior moment etc, but partly in the position of one comma in the simflight forum 'advertising your upgrade' "... 4.948 only, ....". Hi Pete and Supporters i have a registered FSUIPC4 (i.e. I've purchased the key) version 4.945a (?24.9.15). I have recently realised i can update this to 4.948. BUT there is a note on the FSUIPC page/ "site" saying you have to have installed 4.946 or later. When i look for 4.946 i get a "server .... not found" screen. What do i do next? e.g. do i just install 4.948 without 4.946? Would that be a problem free step? I am non-tech. So i don't mind asking a silly question and receiving very obvious replies.
