Help with 'IPC request contains bad data'

I installed MFS 2002, downloaded the SDK, wrote a quick program in Visual C++ 6.0. Once compiled, I started MFS 2002, ran my program and am now getting 'IPC request contains bad data' error on FSUIPC_Open(). Puzzled, I ran the 'UIPChello.exe' and got the same error from it. Any ideas on what is going on?
