Guest gaftp Posted May 25, 2003 Report Posted May 25, 2003 This may have been documented before but I have found only four pages on this forum, not going back too far. After a clean install of XP and complete re-installation of fs2002 I innocently copied my win98 fs2002.cfg back in to retain my settings. Although my ch pedals steered ok on the ground (thro' the nosewheel), I found that the rudder hardly moved at all. The section [JOYSTICK_MAIN {6F1D2B70-D5A0-11CF-BFC7-444553540000}] was duplicated and the section [JOYSTICK_SLEW {6F1D2B70-D5A0-11CF-BFC7-444553540000}] was missing. After deleting this corrupted fs2002.cfg I ran fs2002 once more and the rudder and other controls operated correctly. I looked at the now XP generated fs2002.cfg and found that the above-mentioned section headings are absent but it all works ok. Does XP do things differently? gaftp
