Ergent: How can know whether current plane is jet or prop?

In FSUPIC there are many variables that have different meaning and calculation method depend on plane's type (jet or prop), but I can not find a variable to tell me the current plane is jet or prop?

What should I do?

Hi,

you can read offset 0x0609 (engine type), in FSUIPC 3.93 (the one I use)

0 = piston

1 = Jet

2 = sailplane

3 = helicopter

4 = rocket

5 = turboprop.
