ephesus
Hi, i searched the forum couldnt find but at Youtube watched a ILS tutorial and saw thet at LAX any height between 5000 to 3600 accepted by the plane. In Dubai as for ILS charts the clearance height is 2000 so the plane descends to 2000 vector him with 30 degree of angel to the course as stated in the Youtube video when giving the clear to land statment pilot says "negative". Any advice ? Regards : Ferdi
mc16v
30 degrees is correct, but remember runways are rounded up to near 10 degrees, ie 267 degree runway may be called Runways 27. sending an aircraft on a heading of 300 to intercept will not work because the 30 degree will stop at 297 degrees, you can check the actual headings to be acurate, or just put them on a 25 degree intercept course. :) Gareth
