Hi,
Are you saying it is OK to use 6.712 client with 6.71 server?

Hi Ken,
Yes, I was wrong on that. I do apologize.
I sure wish there was a way to introduce multiplayer here. FS9 worked so nicely and I just can't believe FSX can't get that accomplished. I have tried almost everything but just can't get it done.
I wish I knew more about the basics of Simconnect. Funny, I can make a multiplayer session within my own set of computers with Simconnect but as soon as you introduce FSInn, it just doesn't see any session.

Hi,
Under this set up you can get FSNav to do everything except participate in the multiplayer set up.
I have tried but am unable to get a second computer to participate in any multiplayer setup when using FSInn.
Does anyone know how to do that in genearal?

I only have:
FSUIPC version for FS9
FSUIPC version for FSX
WIDEVIEW for FSX
So i've to buy also the Wideview version for FS9? :?
Yes you will need WidevieW for FS9. FSUIPC for FSX comes with WideFS server 6.71 but you will also need WideFS Client 6.71 for the FS9 computer which I believe you also have to purchase separately.
So, in summary, on the FSX computer you need:
FSUIPC for FSX that comes with WideFS Server 6.71.
Wideview for FSX.
On the FS9 computer you will need:
FSUIPC for FS9. Does not come with WideFS Client 6.71.
WideFS cleint 6.71
WidevieW for FS9
With this software in each one it will work.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Matthew

Hi, I've my FSX open, the FS2004 with FSNAV installed in the other PC and I've Wide Client opened in the PC of FSNAV and the Wide Server opened in the other PC but I dont know how can I open FSNAV without open FS2004 because i cant open FS2004 if the Wide Client is running...
With Wideview, you should be able to have FSX open as the server on one computer and on the other computer have FS9 open as a client. This will work and then you can open FSNav on the client FS9 computer.
Make sure you have the latest versions of WidewieW and WideFS for FSX and FS9 on both computers. There are different versions for FSX and FS9. It won't work with earlier versions.
Good luck.

With a little bit of an investment and another computer there is a temporary way around this.
Buy WidevieW and install it on the your FSX computer and that is your Server.
On your second computer, install WidevieW as the Client and use FS9.
FSNav will now work on the second computer and be completely in sync. with the FSX computer.
I have tried this and it works.

Done and works perfectly.
Thank you!

The problem I seem to be having now is that I can not get the throttle to the lowest idle point without reversing the engines.
Any help would be appreciated. I am starting to run out of ideas. :(
Thanks,
Matthew

I have tested this and have found that the ThrottleN set does not work in my set up but theThrottleN cut works perfectly.
I am however having trouble with adjusting the trottles? I can not get the throttles to be fully idle and in the down position. Also, when they are moved toward the top of the range the reverse thrusters start.
I am not clear as to what the range and center settings should be? I have read the manual but it seems a bit unclear to me. I am sure I am just missing something so a little help would be appreciated.

I would like to have the throttle return to idle after releasing the reverse thrusters. I have found the option to set the throttle to "10" ( and this did work) after releasing the reversers, but I cant find the option to set throttle to idle. Did I over look it?
I think it will be "ThrottleN cut" -- try it. You can program that on the button release. If not that then just use "ThrottleN set" with a parameter of 0.

Pete
Hi,
Has anyone determined which is better, ThrottleN cut or ThrottleN set with a parameter of 0?
Many thanks,
Matthew
Starting Wide Client on Computer Start up
in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Posted
I am attempting to start Wide Client automatically on start up of the computer.
I put the file in the start up menu and it starts but it does not always connect properly to Wide Server.
Is this the correct way to do this? Is there any reasaon it would start but not communicate properly with Wide Server?
I am also starting Wide Client with various Project Magenta software modules. Since they are starting at the same time could this be affecting how Wide Client initially connects to Wide Server?
Your help is appreciated.
Reards,
Matthew
