Hey John!
You are v. good modeler yourself. Don't give it up to Charlotte  .
Did you try poly or spline modeling? They are very good for that sort of complex shape. Aspecialy if you can draw. Try some of the car tutorias on the net, there are even some for modeling heads.
Good Luck with the project

Thank You Alan!
The modeling is just perfect. The boat is REAL. + The feel of good old yacht (that lines - they don't do it that way now..)
That is simply: yours best and probably vs best - so - nice show overall :D
Thanks again: generaly I just get a slide show.. but .. someday

if you move the date slider - the night brightnes - is defferent depending on the moon fase.
I sailed quit a bit and I remember nightshifts that the only thing I could see was the compass light in front of my.. so sometimes, in deserted parts of the sea.. in certen conditons .. well -It just gets VERY dark
-
yaht flops are part of sailing .. to prevent it: do like in real life - reduce sail area or/and sharpen to wind line when in danger..
-
Or maybe you could just get in to that big holl in the tire and control the movement "by your whol body" (JUst like Yoda  )

If you like "garden style" projects you may want to try plywood boats Ron. You can make a small one out of two plywood boards in 24h. Costs nothing. (or near to nothing)
You may want to try this adress (greate community btw):

Own plywood boat is a one super fun thing to make (aspecialy with a good friend and a nice botle of beer)

nice one Ron! - very good for review
-
dear Oll,
Well, it's like this: modelers rearly take such a tasks on their heads, it's duble hard when it comes to scenery. you see - scenery making is very complex and time consumming (it may take many months or years of dedicated work).
It will be very hard to finde a modeler eagerly willing to create yours specific scenery.
Adam
PS It may turn out that the best idea would be to try creating it yourself.

Does it save as 3ds?
