    Good. So it was a registry error somehow. I think the Saitek software messes it up somehow. Else I don't know why it occurs.

    Hello Pete! I see, Eytan Don't use any Compound Entries. I do and Joe Skittles was my Teacher. Saitek Joystick Mode 3 position wheel, won't work if not the entry I show is Disabled. After my Windos 10 update, I had No compound Buttons working. A new Saitek Driver Install, will not work, because of a New entry in Win System 32 causing the problem. This is for Compound user only who like to use the Mode-wheel. I wish you a very nice Summer. Greetings from Canada. Herb

Is the last entry under the Saitek entrties. your number maybe different. I got my Saitek back to work. Herb

    You need your original SimMarket email address and password to get into your account and retrieve the details. You must always register FSUIPC with the exact same name, email and key as frm the original purchase.

    Even I cannot retrieve the details using a different email address. You need to find or remember it yourself. I could retrieve it using the SimMarket order number instead. Certainly not with your new email or just your name.

    Surely you still have something in your archives or backups relating to your original email address? Why didn't you back things up in the first place? This is always important for all purchases involving a registration key of some sort.

    [LATER]

    Luckily I found it! There is a registration using herb@sympatico.ca  for a Herbert Krosta dated 06/11/2010, so evidently the only change in your email was "herb" changing to "herb_k". Seems to be a pretty easy change to remember! ;-)

  7. But why go back to such an ancient version? In fact, I don't think 4.27 even supports lettered IDs for devices! The current version is 4.828, the previous version is 4.827 as I said.

    Pete

    Pete! I'm very sorry, made at typo, I updated to v.4.827 last night. I'm a Dumkopf. I fixed the 4 entries and no more problems. I did copied the rest now and all is working fine. Thanks again, you helped me saving many hours of work. Herb

  8. Well of course it will do if the buttons numbers refer to the wrong device. How did the letter assignments get changed? The whole point of letter assignments is to keep the same assignments no matter what!

    You will notice in your new INI that

    A=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

    and all your buttons are assigned to A, the pedals!

    Just swap the As and B's over in the [JoyNames] section. Only 4 lines to change, one character in each.

    I cannot support such old versions - that is years old! Current is 4.827 with interim update 4.828 due out later today.

    Pete

    Hello Pete!

    Thank you for your reply and advice to swap A and B. On my 2nd reply I stated that I updated to v.4.27 last night, but it did not changed anything. I know, you do dislike if we are using older version. Thanks again and I will be OK. Herb

  9. Yes, I see, but this was working before on my old system. From 11 start a new sequence. Pete explained it some time before. I change it now, did not helped. Herb

    What I notice the Joystick assignment is now reversed. But, this should not make any different to the Buttons numbers. Here is the old one:

    [JoyNames]

    AutoAssignLetters=Yes

    1=Saitek Pro Flight Rudder Pedals

    1.GUID={23313DE0-C80B-11E0-800B-444553540000}

    0=Saitek X52 Flight Controller

    0.GUID={23313DE0-C80B-11E0-800A-444553540000}

    If this is the problem, How do I correct it? Herb

    I updated to FSUIPC v.4.27 No changes

  10. New Mobo, processor, ram and video installed. FSX on a internal seperate Hardrive. FSUIPC v.4.8 new installed and registered. Run:WIN7/64bits as before. Use same hardrives, a new window 7 was created and the previous was renamed to windows.old

    Problem: when I copy and past from my former FSUIPC Ini-file the [Profile.Piston] entry, it won't work. I did made a new Profile, same name, for the [Profile.Piston] 1=Cessna Skyhawk 172SP Paint1. I can make new assignments, but if I copy and past from my former saved Ini-file, Those Buttons are not responding from my Saitek Joystick. It look like a security problem, but I can't lay my hands on. Any help? Herb

  11. Hi Peter,

    I have FSX and with FSUIPC 4.60a and Saitek Pro Flight yoke. I would like to program button in mode 2 and 3 from saitek Pro Flight yoke in the FSUIPC. Is it possible if yes can you tell me how to do it.

    Regard

    Loubrou

    Hello Loubrou!

    It was posted before, here is what you have to do. WIN7/64bit I got. Go to Window/system32 open the folder and look for: SaiD075Cpr0 delete it or remove it. (your # maybe a little differend) leave all other saitek entries alone. Now you got the mode wheele showing as Button 23,24,25. on my joystick. I use it for compound buttons setting in FSUIPC.ini-file. Hope this helps you. Herb

  12. Thank You Gypsy for posting this. It really works, got the mode-wheel and some other buttons working now. See attachment. This Has to stay open, Now I'm loading FSX WIN7/64bit. Herb

    I would like to add more Info:

    In the windows/System32 folder there are Saitek .dll files the last one (under Saitek) is named: SaiD075C.pr0

    You have to remove this line and Restart your computer. This will give you the 3 Modes + some other buttons. No need to run the Saitek Flight-Control Window in the back any more. Herb

    post-10713-0-53132500-1313797466_thumb.j

  13. The INI file appears to be incomplete. These parts are wrong:

    [Axes.]

    0=AX,1,D,0,1,0,0

    1=AY,1,D,0,2,0,0

    2=AZ,256,D,4,0,0,0

    3=AV,130,F,65706,0,0,0

    4=AS,256,D,22,0,0,0

    6=BY,256,F,0,66388,0,0

    7=BR,256,D,3,0,0,0

    [Profile.]

    1=

    Delete those lines, because you cannot have sections like this without names after the '.' character. It maybe these lines which are messing things up. This may have been the result of somehow entering a profile name with only [ ] characters, a bug fixed recently as listed in the update notes as follows:

    15. The use of [ and ] characters in Profile names has always been disallowed (they are replaced by ( and ) respectively), but if the 'new profile' entry contained only [ and ] characters an invalid null profile section would have been produced. This is now fixed.

    Download and install the current interim version (4.722 or later) from the Download Links subforum just in case this happens again.

    Regards

    Pete

  14. Hello! I loaded the Cessna Skyhawk 172SP into FSX/ win7/64bit OS. Then open FSUIPC, checked the checkbox but nothing showed up, No dropdown-box. I did as instructed as below:

    To load an existing user profile you can select a pre-existing profile from the axis assignment

    tab, button assignment tab, or any other applicable tab where a “Profile Specific” checkbox is so as to select

    a profile from the dropdown box once it opens.

  15. Hello Pete!

    I did assign Elevator trim in FSUIPC Option and Settings to Joystick button #2-up and #3-down send to FS, but in FS Settings-Control window, it show as button 3 and 4, also under Keyboard Column, is a Num7 and Num1-- should there a entry at all? This part, I do not understand, when assign with FSUIPC is there a new entry in FS-setting-control window created? Herb

  16. Hello Pete!

    I added Ruder-pedals with toe-break L&R. with the latest driver for Win7/64 bit and Calibrate, assign to FSUIPC registered version. Why would the Elevator trim Show up under the rudder entry in FSX, also the Landing-Gear? Those Buttons are on my Joystick. See Attachment 2&3 please. I did read your documents in the last week again, but I don't understand all of it yet, please be patient. Do I have to clear (delete)all keys in FS Settings-Control when using FSUIPC? 17. Hello!

    What button-press FSUIPC or FSX keyboard buttons, will bring-up the Cockpit view when in VC (virtual Cockpit)? Anybody knows? Herb

    /--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Got it now, set-up my 2nd 8-way hat switch with FSUIPC of course. I ask this question before:

    I Deleted all axis assignment in FSX. Do I have to do the same in the FSX Button+Switches section for the buttons I do assign to FSUIPC? Herb

  18. I set-up Joystick and Throttle for the FA/18 Hornet. In line 14=P0,29,K80,8 This is the P button. How can I assign Shift only to the Pinkie-trigger on the Joystick? So that I can shift with Pinkie and push other Buttons. In this case, I would have Push-back and pause on one button. This is my first try to set Buttons with FSUIPC. I have the SST Saitek Software too. But,fsuipc is much better with my Axis and buttons. I Deleted all axis assignment in FSX. Do I have to do the same in the FSX Button+Switches section for the buttons I do assign to FSUIPC? Herb

  19. Hello Pete!

    I put a little input on the 3 axis just for taking the screen-shot. I did set the sliders as per instruction and added Stick sensitivity mode=0. I will get Saitech Rudder Pedals, need analog Break for the F18. breaking with the trigger on the joystick don't work so good, It's on or off, nothing in between. There is a speed-break, I use this too. I should be fine now. Thank you for taking your time. Regards Herb

  20. Hello Pete!

    Please don't come down to hard on me, I think I did followed your instruction. I found in FSX control axis elevator sliders where off and reverse was ticked. I fixed those errors. About setting (Calibration) the axis in fsuipc: After setting the left Set-Button it will show reset and 3 new set button will show. next going to right lower corner, relax a little and press In-set button,next center joystick and press Center Set. (Question: once or twice? Here I did only once.) Next Forwards most upper left corner, relax a little and press Max-set button. My Fsuipc show zeros under the left reset-buttons when the joystick is centered. Here I have a little input on all 3 Axis. Aileron, Elevator, Rudder. Next: Do I have to assign now the 3 Axis under axis-assignment? Herb
