Converting Lat/Lon Again

I did searches on the forum so I know this topic has been covered but I'm still missing the very basic piece. There are functions in the SDK to read variables from FS and convert latitutude and longitude but I would like to have the formula to do it manually. For example, I know latitude 34.07'81 = 34.130239 and longitude W83.54'35 = -83.905769 Is there any way I can get the formula. ThanksRich
