An example of the 'muddling' of assignments : I had assigned the spoiler axis to the first axis of a Saitek Throttle Quadrant and the steering tiller to a BU0836. When I restarted to FS9, the steering tiller had replaced the spoiler axis but also remained assigned to the BU0836 axis. This sometimes also occurs with buttons. The size of this file is 4,518 bytes. Pete, I uninstalled the firewall and excluded the microsoft games folder from the anti-virus, the sim has run for about 2.5 hours without any problems. regards Paul

Hello Pete, Thanks for your feedback yes, that's when I noticed control inputs had gone and then checked for the addon menu which had disappeared. will do this evening I have disabled Microsoft's security centre firewall and use AVG's firewall (temporarily disabled). Hello Pete, I have a similar problem but with a slight variation. The addon menu appears when I first load FSX and FSUIPC works perfectly but seems to disappear after a few minutes. I've assigned all my joysticks directly in FSUIPC and loose all controls after a few minutes, when I look for the addon menu - it's gone! I don't have any other addon's installed and have disabled my firewall. OS : XP Pro sp2 antivirus : AVG FSUIPC v4.02 regards Paul

Hi, I hope someone can help me with this annoying problem : Whenever I load FS9 or change aircraft, the aircraft loads with it's throttles above idle even though the quadrant throttles are at idle. I then need to advance the quadrant throttles and return to idle for the aircraft's throttles to reset to idle. In a jet, this also takes the aircraft's throttles through the reverser range before returning to idle causing the spoilers to raise which I also then need to reset. This is not a major issue, but I would appreciate any suggestions on how to prevent this from happening. I am using CH Control Manager 4 in direct mode and FSUIPC 3.60. regards Paul
