Thanks John I have reverted back to an earlier version which accepts fsuipc to assign cyclic controls via aileron elevator and also axis cyclic longitudinal and lateral I posted a bug report regarding the cyclic issue. Cheers Rhys
-
Hi Thanks for the replies So the Axis Cyclic Lateral/Longitudinal Set controls don't work? Yes tried that and they don't work. The pedals and throttle (collective) work in fsuipc just not the cyclic. in the log it does show the control events So I have gone back to using MSFS2020 setup for the cyclic. I have include a zip file as the log file exceeded 4.88 MB Nervac have you noticed with the MD that if you start at parking spot with the engines off that the red fuel valve and the ignition car are in the on position ? Cheers Rhys FSUIPC7.zip

Hi I am using MSFS2020 and own the cowansim Md500e but I am having problems assigning the cyclic inputs via fsuipc. Back in the fsx days I would assign the cyclic the aileron and elevator untick enable controllers and everything was fine. Reading through the cowansin pdf manual it says Cyclic Stick: You can use the default aileron and elevator axis for the cyclic, but it is recommended to use the provided SET CYCLIC LONGITUDINAL & LATERAL AXIS. I have set the cyclic to aileron and elevator in fsuipc and send to fsuipc direct calibration but the control are not responding. I can assign the controls via the MSFS2020 control options but it is so clunky to use the interface. Cheers Rhys

Hi John Yes the .evt works with fsx. I have never used a .evt file before. It covers all the systems for the dodo 206. I will contact the person who made it available to me and ask to put it here I would like to thank you for your time and help on this it is very much appreciated. The info you provided helps answer questions if I come across any similar issues in the future Kind regards Rhys

Hi John Thank you for all your help on this all the same and the explanation. Cheers Rhys

Hi John I have include images of what I get when I press the Wrn mute button and dir gyro toggle I had a read through the documentation on Macros and when I press the tab to check if the macro is working nothing happens. Cheers Rhys

Thanks John I'm away from the sim so will try out what you have given me tomorrow. The 23 was at the end of the RX746f0*X55cc. So didn't edit the file I am using the 2d panel when I run the macro I will report back tomorrow to let you know how I get on. Thanks for your time and help Cheers Rhys

Thanks John My bad regarding logging Will try as per your suggestions Cheers Rhys

Hi John Thanks for reply . I have included my Macro file. Had a look at the documentation that includes a list of fsuipc commands but they relate to the p3d version as there is a .Evt File which is not in the fsx version The following are Directional gyro & attitude indicator: Fsuipc Applicable custom events= DIR_GYRO_SWITCH_TOGGLE Warning horn mute button: Fsuipc Applicable custom events= WARNING_MUTE_BUTTON_TRIGGER Annunciator (caution lights) test button: Fsuipc Applicable custom events= ANNUNCIATOR_TEST_BUTTON_TRIGGER These custom events are not in the fsuipc version for fsx or fsx se I ran the logging event window but when I pressed on the cockpit button nothing showed up in the fsuipc log window. Cheers Rhys Dodosim206.MCRO

Hi I'm trying to create a mouse macro for the dodosims 206 to operate the :Horn mute :Direction gyro :Annunciator test panel I have gone to button and switches and click create macro named it, pressed ok and ok on the main fusipc window. In the 2d panel I click on the button and I get the macro window appear top left of screen, name the macro eg horn mute got back to fsuipc click end macro. My Marco appears in the controls drop down box but when I assign it to a switch it doesn't work. Cheers Rhys

Hi John, thank you. Looked at my setup this morning and changed my assignments for the dodosim 206 to send direct to fsuipc calibration. Everything is working as it should now. once again thank you Rhys

Hi I have downloaded the now free dodosim bell 206. As I start to set up the cyclic, pedals and collective controls it seems that choosing :send to FS as normal axis and select the axis aileron, axis elevator and axis pedals is the way to go, at least for this aircraft. If I used the option to: send direct to fsuipc calibration and select aileron elevator and pedals the elevator at least doesn't respond like it should. My other helicopters I have in my hanger are set up via the send direct to fsuipc calibration. So my question is, should I set all my other helicopters to : send to FS as normal.axis. And is there any advantages or disadvantages to doing so Regards Rhys

PM Sent Cheers Rhys

Thanks John Maybe the developer will add this and other small issues in future updates Regards Rhys

Hi. I know you must be busy and have lots of requests but was wondering if at any time in the future is it possible to add "Set Helicopter Throttle Axis". I fly the cowansim MD500e and mapped about 80% of the cockpit controls via fsuipc. The twist throttle on the collective which used to be pitchprop in FSX is " Set Helicopter Throttle Axis". I find the axis controls setup in msfs2020 no where near as straight forward as fsuipc. Cheers Rhys

Thanks Just checked in and saw reply. I'll give it a try Cheers Rhys

Thanks John I'm using fsx se so have all the updates. Cheers for the information will do a read as you suggested . Kind regards Rhys

Hi John Thank you for the reply. The aircraft in question has a macro for the start button on the collective plus a couple of other cockpit switches just not the start pump. I posted a question on the Milviz support page to see if anyone had any ideas Can mouse macros be setup in the 3d cockpit view?. I have selected create mouse macro but don't see any on screen window for macros on my screen Cheers Rhys
-
Hi I have the Milviz MD530f for fsx, and I am just setting up the last couple of switches for my home cockpit. When I use the logging screen to see that the start pump switch activates in the 3d cockpit, it shows up as elect fuel pump 1, but when I assign my cockpit switch to that command in fsuipc it doesn't activate the switch on the 3d cockpit Would creating a macro work I also want to setup a botton to activate the annunciator panel but the log windows shows no command when I press the botton on the cockpit Cheers Rhys

Hi Is this what you require Axis range -15827 to 4215 I have included a txt file for parameter value range, hope that is what you are after. In axis I set the range to COWANSIM_ENGINE_Throttle_1' = 0.000000 When I moved my hardware twist grip it moved the cockpit 3d twist grip but in went straight to full throttle and would not roll back when a twist it back ro idle Rhys parameter value range .txt

Thanks so much for that Renamed the ini file and with the new one everything is working as it should. I have attached the renamed ini file If you are still able to create a script for me I will send the input and parameter details as required. Thanks ever so much Rhys FSUIPC7 back up.ini

Hi John This is a new issue. If I go into the axis calibration menu when I move a control Fsuipc stops but msfs keeps going. I was hoping to send you the "input event parameter value range as well as your axis value range.. "so you could write a Lua script. Just wondering if I should remove and reinstall fsuipc to see if that fixes it All the controls are working as per the windows game controller settings Rhys FSUIPC7.log

I checked the log menue and saw that all events were checked so I have unticked them so when I re start I only tick what is required. I have a small issue when I go into axis assignment, when I move the twist grip which is my Y axes fsuipc and msfs crash to desktop. Rhys
-
Hi john, Thank you very much for that. I will go through and check my assignments again and take a good look at that you have pointed out. Cheers Rhys

Thanks John Here is the ini file and log file. Maybe its just a issue with the coding on the aircraft. Thanks Rhys FSUIPC7.ini FSUIPC7.log
