I am trying to clarify the information about correcting the "VCRuntime140_1.dll not found" error I get when trying to get FSUIPC to connect. From what I have read, the problem is related to a conflict with Windows Visual C++ 2015 and Visual C++ 2017. The instructions to fix the error, require changing these items in the Windows Files, and I am concerned that I have them right so I don't crash my computer.
If I am correct, the instructions say to:
1. Delete Visual C++ 2017 (Does this mean delete both x64 & x86 versions?)
2. Install Visual C++ 2015 (Again, does this mean both x64 & x86 versions?)
3. Reinstall Visual C++ 2017 (Is this a stand alone 2017 version, or the 2015, 2017, 2019 combined version I find online?). Also, can I copy the existing 2017 version somehow and then reinstall it?
Lastly, my computer currently has Visual C++ 2005, 2008, 2010, 2012, 2013, & 2017 installed. Since there is no 2015 version installed, can I simply install the 2015 version x64 & x86, or do I have to follow the sequence above? (Delete 2017, install 2015, then reinstall 2017.)
Thanks for your help
