  2. Hi Pete,

I can confirm that the file SimConnectP3D2.dll "IS" in the P3D3 modules folder on my computer and P3D3 is not in the (windows protected) program files sub folder. P3D is right off the root C:\Prepar3D V3

    Thanks Pete

Hmm. Very strange -- it is actually using the FSX SP2 Simconnect!

Can you please check that this file is actually present:

            C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v3\Modules\SimConnectP3D2.dll

On my system, despite the fact that I do have the FSX SimConnects present, it definitely still only uses my own module, thus:

        20452 Trying E:\Prepar3D v3\Modules\SimConnectP3D2.dll

20499 Found it: trying to connect
        20546 FS UNC path = "E:\Prepar3D v3\"

I am trying to build a P3Dv3-specific version of my DLL, but I'm having difficulties with that -- my compiler doesn't like the latest data from L-M. However, comparing your results and mine, I don't think it would make any difference. Something else is going on. Maybe it's something to do with having P3D installed in the Windows protected Program Files folders ... but it shouldn't matter. The Modules folder isn't protected el;se you'd not get the Logs you show me!

    Pete

  3. Hi Pete,

I can confirm; If you are starting from scratch with Windows/P3D3, you MUST install the simconnect.msi file located in P3D3 sub folder REDIST (FSX-SP2-XPACK). My setup also shows that it's using FSX SP2 Simconnect!

  4. Hi Ethan,

Sorry you're in the same boat I'm in... But it's good to know I'm not going nuts, been staring at this for about eight hours now. I figured it would be a question mark or period out of place, or somthing silly to that effect... But if it is, I can't find it.

I know it's usually the DLL.xml file that's the issue with the menu, does anyone have a working dll.xml file. Maybe it's something I just don't see in mine.

    Thanks Pete

  5. Hi Pete,

This is a new Windows 7, P3D3, FSUIPC setup. There are no other Addons installed  and P3D3 shows no addons menu. FSUIPC is running, but there is a simconnect issue. Also note: SimConnectP3D2.dll is located in the following directory C:\Prepar3D v3\Modules\SimConnectP3D2.dll

Also note: The Address shown in the SimConnect.cfg (192.168.1.100) points to P3D3's Computer and is pingable with zero packet loss.

I have simconnect setup as follow

  7. Hi Pete,

Just installed 4.946 into P3D3 and I was not given a registration box during installation, nor do I get FSUIPC on P3D3 pull down menu.

UPDATE: I got it Pete, user error... For those having issues. Install 4.944 found on the main download page then update to 4.946.

I do have an issue, I'm not getting the FSUIPC dropdown menu. How do I access FSUIPC?.

    Thanks

Registration is part of the Installer, not in FSUIPC itself!

4.944 was nowhere near compatible with P3Dv3 -- it was out of date weeks ago. 4.945a was the most recent, but the only version at present which works correctly with P3D v3 is 4.946!

    Pete

  8. Hi Pete,

I'm having a small problem with FSUIPC. I setup FSUIPC to work with the following hardware.

VRAC Throttle Quad - Works but with one problem

I've been able to setup the following

    Throttles - Works Fine

    Engine Reversers - Works Fine

    Fuel Cuttoff - Works Fine

    Stab Trim - Works Fine

    Parking Brake - Works Fine

    Speed Brake - Works Fine

    Flaps - Works Fine

    Pitch Trim - Small Problem

Here is the problem Pete: The Pitch Trim level. It works, but not the way its suppose to. I have to move the level up and down (numerous times) toward the down position to move the trim down and I have to move the level up and down (numerous times) toward the up position to move the trim up. The pitch trim axis has been setup and calibrated just like the other axises (Throttles, flaps, speed brake etc.) that work fine.

Can't seem to figure this out on my own.

    Thanks

    Mike

  9. Hello,

I just purchased your program, Iam having problems with your final instructions. Your instructions state the following.

    "

    Final Installation [FLight Simulator 2004]

Backup your original Flight Simulator 2004 textures. Go to the texture folder: ..\FS2004\Scenery\World\Texture and make a full copy/backup of that folder.

Locate the FScene texture folder. The installation program created a new folder your FScene files: ..\FScene2004\ (the FScene textures have been placed in a separate subdirectory e.g.: ..\FScene2004\FScene2004-Europe-Summer).

Copy the Fscene texture files to the correct Flight Simulator Folder. Select all of the *.bmp + all of the *.agn files, and copy and paste them into the following Flight Simulator folder: ..\FS2004\Scenery\World\Texture (be sure to overwrite all existing files when prompted).

Start Flight Simulator 2004 and enjoy the scenery!

    "

However, I do not have any seasons listed, all your *.bmp and *.agn files are in one directory.

How do I complete the final install?.

    Michael
