  1. wow thats amazing that PFC responded that fast - maybe that they responded at all !!! they make it VERY clear that their console is only designed to work with XPlane. We are on our own if we want to integrate with MSFS. The PFC Radio stack is composed of a variety of individual radios and controllers - you can order the stack with varying individual units. Their normal one has a GPS controller of sorts that was not very interesting to me so i had them remove that and replaced with the Audio Panel - which also has a Vert Speed display and target altitude that interconnects with your Autopilot. I think their programming deals with each instrument individually since the Stack I have still works perfectly with XPlane and integrates with RealSimGear GPS radios and Autopilot and works with RealityXP programming for the Garmin GPS units. I will try the new .dll file and report my findings. Oh Look - Santa brought me a new .dll file !!!
  2. i wish i knew exactly what did that made it work - or even which suggestions of yours accomplished the goal Im just happy its working now - like a little personalized Christmas present......
  3. Good News ..... Played around with the key assignments you suggested and found some luck Restarted computer and now the main console buttons, switches and knobs work in the plane. Nothing shows in the MSFS screen but the console works in the plane !! The Throt-Prop-Mixture axes dont work automatically but I assigned them is FSUIPC and now they work properly. They also do not show in MSFS control page but they work in the plane, Still no radio stack but i got your message that current stack is new and not yet programmed in FSUIPC7. I will keep in touch with them. I will keep experimenting and let you know if I find anything of interest. For now Im happy and thank you for your continued support. Have a nice Holiday season
  4. thanks John im not so worried about the radio stack - i can use the in cockpit radios fairly easily. If we can get the Console working I will be happy... i will be back at the sim later tonite to do what you suggested in the previous response.
  5. Going back a few messages here is what i have done per your suggestions: * activate "logging for events" * added "offset monitoring 0D0CC at U16 in hex" * activate "logging for IPC Writes" * d/l HidScanner + run program started MSFS and FSUIPC7 as usual - i will use C172 as you suggested the events you wanted me to do: Ldg Gear / Pitot Heat / Flaps Lights - Nav/Bcn/Strobe/Taxi/Landing i may have toggled another switch or moved the throttle but specifically i did the above as requested. exited MSFS and FSUIPC7 docs you requested are attached FSUIPC7.log / PFChid64.log / HidScanner report This whole dillemma is most confusing. I have a new, untouched MSFS2020 install with nothing added. A current paid version of FSUIPC7 also installed properly and functioning within MSFS. A current PFC C2 Console with all the buttons, switches and axes registering in real time on the FSUIPC7 Console log ???? Should be working ???? PFChid64.log HidScanner.log FSUIPC7.log
  6. i will try to accomplish all you have suggested Still dont know how to"add offset monitoring for offset 0D0C as U16 in hex" Holidays are here too so I will be patient thank you for all the help so far Jim
  7. im willing too do all 1. How do I activate "logging for events in FSUIPC" ?? 2. How do I "add offset monitoring for offset 0D0C as U16 in hex" I dont have any idea how to do this. I can use any aircraft you like if the G58 is not the best for this test. as far as AltF not working - i tried it right after the MSFS fully loaded my plane and was ready to fly. did not work throughout the entire time MSFS was running. the "log" window opens automatically during loading so I left it open so i could monitor my control inputs.
  8. Here are the attachments: PFChid64.log PFC C2 Pro Test.txt FSUIPC7.ini FSUIPC7.log
  9. Im back to see if we can get FSUIPC7 with my PFC Console working. First i will re-cap where we are since both John and Pete are involved with suggestions. Done previously per your suggestions: 1. Created [Macro] entry and saved in the same folder as PFChid64.dll is located 2. Changed PFChid64.ini to your suggested values as you instructed : LogDecode=-Yes, LogIPCwrites=Yes, LogMacroNames=Yes, Console=Yes, LogDevices=No and LogDeviceChanges=No My PFC main console is the C2 Profesional and the Avionics stack is the Digital Avionics Stack - both are HID devices - Puchased from PFC on 5-4-21. I attached a picture of both units in an earlier response. All work flawlessly with XPlane11. I have the paid version of the current FSUIPC. The Yoke in the current PFC is operated with force feedback software from Brunner (Switzerland) and is currently working perfectly directly thru MSFS2020 so we need not troubleshoot that. PFC also has 2 buttons and a rocker switch on the yoke that they designed as regular joystick switches and they are working in MSFS2020 as well. With this in mind I started MSFS2020 and loaded the Baron for a flight. MSFS 2020 controls page shows all the various PFC equipment that I have connected but no inputs register. With the "log" showing on my screen I did as you requested and operated each axis, button and switch on the PFC console in order (i attached a text file where i listed each item in the order i operated them) As far as i can tell by watching the "log" file - EVERY input i did registered immediately - throttles, prop and mixture axes and then every other switch on the main console. I then tried the Radio Stack (which was unlit) and nothing registered. Shut down MSFS 2020 and copied the files you requested I attached FSUIPC7.log, FSUIPC7.ini files and the PFChid64.log as requested. I had a previous serial version of FSUIPC that i used with MSFS 2004 and the PFC serial console in that day and it worked immediately - i didnt need to program anything and all the controls and buttons worked fine. im assuming that the current HID version should be about the same - work without edit on all the standard axes and buttons and only need more programming if i wanted to take advantage of the added possibilities that FSUIPC7 offers. Is this correct ?? Hopefully the attached files will help get this running. I await your suggestions. ps. AltF doesnt work anymore to see the FSUIPC popup ??
  10. i appreciate you guys going to such lengths to try and solve my dilemma im not nearly as computer savvy as either of you so Im pretty lost at this point. 1. As far as the yoke not working - I will continue my discussion with Brunner (in Switzerland) - I do not think this issue iis one we should focus on. It will be an update from Brunner that will address the yoke functionality. 2. It appears that all the knobs and switches and throttle quadrant levers on the Cirrus console were registering in the log file that I could see displayed in real time (console yes). Nothing from the entire PFC radio stack registers. I tried all knobs and buttons. 3. Alt F now pops up properly but NO ENTRIES from the console or radio stack shows except the throttle quadrant. 4. When i goto MSFS and get in a plane ready to fly nothing shows anywhere in the MSFS Control assignment screen? The PFC Console shows and the radio stacks as well but nothing there shows any control entries. 5. Question 1. Should i leave the change I did to the .ini file or change them back ? 2. Im lost as to what to try next ???? Any directions would be appreciated. Thanks
  11. finally got AltF to work again but nothing shows under any of the assignment options ??
  12. I have done as you requested. Created text file PFC.MCRO and put it in the FSUIPC folder. I have attached it here so you can make sure I did it properly. I edited the .ini file as you suggested. I also attached that for you to see. Upon opening MSFS the "console" display screen opens and displays all the inputs that are read from my PFC Cirrus2 Pro. I hit every button, knob and vernier as suggested and it appears that all the switches,, buttons, knobs and throttles are properly read. I have attached the .log file for you to see. When i close the "console" screen apparently displaying the .log file in real time I can no longer use the AltF to see my assignment screen ? I will be updating the drivers later today for the Brunner yoke which may solve the problem of FSUIPC not reading any yoke movements. Not sure what i should do now ? Should I go back to the original .ini file ? - I will need to have AltF working to take the next steps for assigning inputs. ?? Thanks Again for spending the time with me to get this working.... ps opening splash screen shows Web serv. are "stopped" When i hit "start" a message says ""failed to listen to prefix http://local host: 2048/fsuipc/'because it conflicts with an existing registration on the machine". This has never shown before ?? PFChid64.log PFChid64.ini PFC.MCRO.txt
  13. i will try your suggestion later today - Im not sure how to create a small Macro file ?? can you explain please i think i understand the rest of your suggestions thanks
  14. thought it might be helpful for you to see the cockpit. The Light Grey central unit with the yoke is the PFC C2 Professional. Its what im calling the "console" to the left of the console is the PFC radio stack. this contains 2 nav coms, audio panel, transponder, ADF and DME. On the right is the Real sim Gear Garmin 650/750 and autopilot. Thee rudder pedals are from Thrustmaster and operate on a joystick axis - so pose no issues.
  15. Im getting the latest software update from Brunner for the yoke controller so we should set aside that problem until i sort out that update. h however I installed the dll file you sent although i think the one i had was current (5.1.4.1). I put into the main FSUIPC folder as instructed. Started sim and got in plane ready to fly - running on runway ready to take off. Got to FSUIPCC by Alt F yoke of course still is not recognized - the only buttons that register are B3, B4 and rocker switch B0 and B2 / these switches are on the yoke. On the console (Cirrus II Professional) nothing registers - likewise the PFC radio stack nothing registers and the entire unit is dark. Under ""Axes Assign" all 6 Throttle-Prop-Mixture axes register properly as do the Thrustmaster rudder pedals. nothing else registers anywhere. I thought i attached the .log and .ini files on a previous note but im re-doing the attachment here. Maybe those files will help Thanks Again for the help... PFChid64.log PFChid64.ini
  16. Heres the latest. Got word from PFC that the yoke program from Brunner actually has a driver for MSFS !!! They told me how to install it so I will do that tonite and see if the yoke begins to magically workk !!! Still doesnt answer why all the Macros dont load but maybe this will fix the yoke problem.
  17. Heres the outcome of the experiments you suggested: 1. "Log file 1016 Loaded PCFhid64.dll okay" - not showing in the .log file / I have the Cirrus II USB so I have the hid file in the FSUIPC folder not the com file. 2. The yoke program that PFC is using to provide feedback on the yoke servos is: CLS2 Sim v4.14 from Brunner Elektronic AG. I purchased the Cirrus console earlier this year. This may be a new method PFC has for their newer Cirrus consoles - the servos are very good at providing tactile feedback on the yoke. This should not affect the actual console buttons and switches - which also do not show in the FSUIPC assignment windows. 3. The yoke switches and console switches all show and register in the PFC GUI test program but the yoke motion does not show ?? I have a call into PFC support to see where the yoke motion would be shown (this may be my problem but everything works fine in XPlane). 4. I loaded the C172 / started plane positioned at the runway running and ready to fly. Used Alt F to get the FSUIPC window: a) Tried Button and Switch Assign - pressed yoke buttons and they registered OK - no console buttons or switches registered - could not get any console events to register. b) Tried Axis Assign / Axes Assign and all 6 throttle quadrant axes registered c) Tried Joystick Calib and no yoke motion registered / I have non PFC Rudder pedals and they registered OK. Started AI flight and it crashed after takeoff - Closed sim and copied .ini and .log files (attached) I see alot of "Macros not found" entries in the .log file - Is this my problem ??? No console buttons or switches seem to register anywhere in addition to the yoke movements. Im assuming the Macros are necessary to connect the console ?? Ill report on the response i get from PFC support once i get the callback
  18. i will try your suggestions later tonite - thank you again for the help ! i have already tried to get the yoke motions to register with no success yet. i will check for the 1016 entry in the log as you requested and reply with the .ini and ,log files if I still have no success.
  19. pssss: I do have a registered paid for version of FSUIP7
  20. ps I was sure that I saw somewhere in your Manual that the PFC dll file should be listed under "add-ons" On page 11 under the add-ons heading here is the text i copied: "The Add-ons menu item will only be displayed when one or more compatible add-ons are found when FSUIPC7 is started. This menu can include (amongst others) a menu entry to access the PFCcom64 user interface (when the PFCcom64.dll is located in the FSUIPC7 installation folder), and a menu entry for the WebSocket server (provided by Paul Henty and included in the FSUIPC7 installer). 1
  21. I guess my PFC is actually just named Cirrus Pro - so its likely the same one you are familiar with. It integrates with XPlane seamlessly with their supplied software. PFC is definitely NOT encouraging use in MSFS. I have chatted with them repeatedly. According to them the Yoke is NOT seen as a joystick device. They have an add on from a German company that actuates the servos attached to the yoke so the feedback is proper to the planes dynamic forces. You can feel the pressure on the ailerons and elevator during takeoff especially. Since yesterday i have experimented and finally got the 6 throttle quadrant levers to show in the FSUIP window - and the switches on the main panel AND on the yoke now respond properly. Only the yoke itself does not show. Obviously if I cant get that working I will not be able to use the Cirrus console. It works so well in XPlane I was hoping to get this working. I had a serial PFC console years ago and used a previous FSUIPC with that and it worked very well back in the MS 2004 version !! Is it unusual that the PFChid dll does not show in my "add-ons" menu ?? It is installed properly in the FSUIPC folder ?? I believe there are some PFC Cirrus users that do have the yoke working in MSFS - are you out there ?? Thanks for the quick response, Pete - anything else I should be exploring ???
  22. I have PFC Cirrus Pro 2 USB console and radio stacks. All work in XPlane 11 and all switches and axes are functional in the PFC test program. I have purchased FSUIPC7 and Wide FS and have installed properly. i see the splash screen when I start and can access FSUIPC via the shortcut (Alt F). Per the Manual instructions I have downloaded PPFChid64.dll and have placed in the FSUIPC7 folder. The manual says that I should see that program under the "add-ons" menu in order to activate it. I DO NOT see it and therefore I cant get anything to work. I see my PFC equipment show up in the Microsoft window but nothing works (of course) A couple yoke buttons do show but no axes show up. Any ideas ????
