Hi Everyone
I am a MSFS2020 user based in the UK.
I have recently updated my hardware to a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle and joystick. And this is where my problems started. Both devices are connected to my Dell PC via USB 2.0 ports. The Microsoft Windows 11 'Setup USB Game Controllers' software sees the hardware, recognises it and calibrates the hardware correctly.
When running MSFS2020, the joystick works correctly but the throttle does not. The throttle is recognised by MSFS2020 as a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog throttle however, when in the sim itself, if I move the throttle forward and view the throttle on the Cessna's dash. it moves in and out, stutters and moves all over the place. I have spent hours and hours trying to recalibrate the throttle within MSFS2020 but, whatever I do, the throttle still fails to operate properly.
I have followed other simmers advice and made sure that I have assigned the throttle to Throttle 1 Axis and Throttle 2 Axis rather than Throttle 1 Axis (0 to 100%) and Throttle 2 Axis (0 to 100%) but the throttle still fails to operate correctly.
This evening (16 March 2023) a fellow simmer suggested I look at FSUIPC. I am sorry to say that I haven't heard of the package before but he suggested I might use FSUIPC to get the throttle to work correctly with MSFS2020.
Before I make the purchase, could anyone please offer any advice ? Could FSUIPC help and if so, could someone point me to a readme / FAQ that shows me what I would need to do to see if it could solve this throttle issue.
I am getting pretty desperate as it is clear that I cannot resolve this issue myself and having spent an absolute fortune on the Thrustmaster hardware, I would really like to see it operate well in MSFS2020 and also DCS and IL2 if possible.
Can anyone offer some advice please ?
Many thanks in advance (and advanced apologies if this question has been asked previously)
Ed
