I may be wrong, I looked over the docs and see nothing about this, for fs9 my path was Z:\fs9 this worked fine my share was the fs9 directory, did the same for fsx U:\fsx this is where I was getting the error. It was not until I change it to U:\Microsoft Games\fsx that it would work. If that was in the docs I missed it, and the thing that confused me when trouble shooting is that why sharing the root of the msfs directory work for fs9 and not fsx. Anyways it works now and thats all that matters.

Wow four posts to myself, this has to be some kinda record. Well I noticed people are looking at the thread so just thought I would let everyone know fixed the problem. The drive I mounted was the "Microsoft Flight Simulator X" folder (using this on a widefs config) I guess it has a hard time reading that correctly, I backed it up one folder and shared the "Microsoft Games" folder, worked like a charm. This was difficult to figure out because I used the same method for fs9 but it worked ("Microsoft Flight Simulator 9" as the share) who knows I just found it frustrating that it would save a flightplan to everything except addon aircraft like the pmdg or leveld.

Ok sense I can't get any help here, can someone plese let me know if fsc can save a flight plan to the leveld fsx. I have been working on this for some time now. I have uninstalled and reinstalled fsc. With the same result, I get an error saving to my pmdg or leveld. I don't know what else to do.

Are there issues with having the leveld in fsx and fs9. I just don't get it. It will load and save a plan for fs9 in my leveld but not in my fsx leveld. Everything is set up correctly, it saves in all formats except level d and pmdg. Getting very frustrated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When I choose my fs9 data and save, it works fine, switch back to fsx data and try to save and I get the error, Im using a widfs config, every thing is mapped correctly I have been doing this for awhile now. It connects and everything just can't save a plan to leveld or pmdg in fsx

Ok I just switch to fsx, ran the DB manager everything went fine, the only problem is now that when I try to save a flight plan to the level d or pmdg I get an error "error in writing leveld plan" m not sure why this is happening.

OldBager you are correct, I went into my program files and cut the aerosoft directory out and just pasted it in the root of C: , started it up downloaded weather and it works just fine.Except the metars do not match what is showing in my ASX, and I have that set to enable vatsim downloads, so is there a new problem with getting accurate metars. Weird stuff
