In the back of the bus we transport this dragracing Chevy Camaro to races, hence the big door. The back is also lengthened a bit from the original, which has to be remembered when turning in narrow places. The Camaro runs 1/4 mile and 0-240 km/h in 9 seconds.

Isn't there already a "cave" under construction? At least there has been a shovel and a pile of sand near the runway for as long I can remember.
That fluffy dog is a lagotto romagnolo (italian) and yes, he likes very much travelling in a car. So does his "wife" who's got brown hair.

I travel by bus sometimes, too. 8)
Quite a handful to drive, unsynchronized gearbox and NO power steering.
The "BatBus" was originally built from a 1963 Volvo for hauling a dragracing car to events, but it suits very well for camping too.
Definitely not your ordinary motorhome.

I think you mean 5-speed gearbox, Saab has never had a 5 cylinder engine. It is true that 99 engines didn't like overheating and could have cylinderhead or gasket problems even after a short time of too high coolant temperature. Still, last year a salesman in Wisconsin donated his 1989 Saab 900 to a local car museum, having driven 1 001 385 miles with the original engine.
Well, I don't think my car will last the needed 1,3 million kilometers to beat that.
Francois, you could exchange your Jeep to something like this, great off-road performance and better fuel economy.

Sorry to hear that your father had so much trouble with his Saab. My 1985 Saab 90 (which essentially is a two-door 99 model with the rear half of a 900) still passes MOT and emission tests without complaints with over 300 000 km on the odometer. I personally don't consider any of those Opel-based General Motors models since the 1990's to be a "real" Saab.
But the most comfortable car I have ever owned was a 1986 Chevrolet Caprice. Big, soft and quiet. Driving it was like sitting on a sofa watching the landscape move. 8)

now what else can you do in a car.. hmmmmm.... :P
Eating and drinking while driving the car is now much more easier after I got a hands-free-thingy to my mobile phone... 8)
For Chris, congratulations about your choice. Those who own an Alfa seem often to be specific kind of people. I have two such persons among my friends, the other has an old GTV from the late 60's and the other has two models from the early 80's. Quite enthusiastic, gotta have something different, something more than just a car to get from place A to place B.
It's the same thing when somebody just cannot imagine himself buying any other car than a BMW. Or a Volvo. Or a Citroen. Or a japanese car regardless of the badge. Or a Ferrari. And very often the feelings and emotions crush that old dull thing called common sense.
Some peculiar people even think that why drive a car when you can pilot a Saab?

ScanAFD does not always find duplicate AFCAD files. Perhaps it would be better to search all your FS and scenery directories for AF2_PASI.bgl.

Oh my... where is the "delete" button?

But remember:

just got back from Marti Gras in my home town --- Lafayette LA. Got lots of beads and had lots of fun.
You lucky bastard...
We here in cold Scandinavia don't have such good excuses as "mardi gras" for being drunk.
We prefer the great spectacles of Mother nature for reason to pour some booze. As the sunrise or sunset... 8)

Oh boy, that's quite a gift. And you really seem to be in relation with quite a lady too. My late fiancée had a good and expensive taste too. She once bought a 2000$ candlestick of pure silver without a hesitation, only because "it looked so nice".
I myself still have to carry on with a Breitling cap and 27 years old Citizen.
I have to admit that I have a Rolex (bought a GMT-Master years ago when wearing a Rolex was "cool") but I still prefer the trusty old Citizen, because anybody can buy a new Rolex but no money can buy a new Digi-Ana.

the performers are Finnish, and are infiltrating the minds of fans everywhere with a Finnish tune
Darn, I have to report to my superiors that our plot to conquer the world has been revealed... 8)

Er... and can anyone translate: "Salivili hipput tupput täppyt äppyt tipput hilijalleen"
That part is mainly just finnish gibberish and cannot be translated...
"Hilijalleen" is something like "slowly" or "quietly" in dialect, "hiljaa" in literary language.
And if you want to hear some more finnish a cappella, check out the group named "Club for five".

I had problems to vote with Firefox 1.5.0.9 ("Please select a valid vote answer.") but when loading the page to IE7 it seems that the vote went through (poll results shown).

I found when the file Trees_0.bgl was place in the MAIN scenery folder, as instructed, it didnt do much. I did get trees rightly after putting this file in the ...\Flight Simulator 9\Addon Scenery\scenery folder. Odd.
Placing the trees_0.bgl in the ...\Flight Simulator 9\scenery folder does not work, but using ...\Flight Simulator 9\scenery\world\scenery folder works. Or any other scenery folder activated in scenery.cfg and with priority lower than sceneries using the library bgl.

I have found that I have to go back to very old drivers, the 71 or 77's in order to not get this problem on the screen. Those drivers of course were never written with the 6600GT in mind, as it didn't exist.
Support for 6600 and 6600GT was added already in version 66.93 WHQL.
I've been using 77.77 for a long time. Newer versions seemed to cause different kinds of trouble and didn't bring anything new to users of older pre-7000-series cards.
Maybe I'll still give the new 91.47 version a try anyway.

Mmmm, maybe if one had FS installed in the second computer too with FSNavigator and the sim is syncronized with the "main" FS over the network by a suitable software (WideView or something like that).

I prefer FinnTrees: http://files.fsnordic.net/Flight_Simulator/Scenery/Finland/
They are 40% smaller tree textures designed especially for Finnish landscape, but should fit quite well for any other Northern area as well.
-
I'd also like to recommend the FinnTrees 2004 or Forestration project autogen tree texture packages by FISD (Finnish Scenery Designers).

Have you already tried deleting (or renaming) the fs9.cfg file and letting FS to create it? This trick has saved me many times from doing a total reinstall. Actually I have never had to reinstall FS9, maybe should go and knock on wood.

If one has Emma Field and/or sceneries from the Georender sceneries installed, can the *.sc files and corresponding sound wav-files be used by installing them to fs9\LAGO\Common\ directory and thus being able to hear the sounds or is FSE mandatory?
And if the sounds work, then how about the *.osc animation files in some of the MM add-on sceneries? Or are those restricted to and use FSE objects only?
-
I got the Emma Enhancement a couple of days ago. Not bad but it sure makes Emma look busy. :)
Yup. Seems like our cozy and beloved Emma Field is turning into a tourist trap.

Udo, if you had the weather.dll with the METAR visibility fix by Sami Ylismäki, there is a new version for FS9.1 available at FS Nordic.

Awwww my gawd! :D
I have to admit that even though I'm allergic to every animal that has feathers or fur, I like them very much. My sickness is not their fault. I don't understand people who hate animals just because they are allergic to them.
About the performance of that Camaro, it has a huge, near 10 litre aluminium V8 engine with fuel injection giving over 900 horsepower and it weighs only about 1430 kg with driver. One wouldn't notice from a distance, but the whole front section (fenders and bonnet) and the doors are totally made of fiberglass. Lights and emblems and steel bumpers are still original. Rear tires are about 18 inches wide (45 cm) and the automatic gearbox has only 2 speeds.
It could beat Räikkönen, but only when driving straight. On a winding road Kimi would outrun it like it was standing still. It's not very good in cornering.
