  1. Sorry Pete I guess I  got confused myself.
I disabled the PFC by unchecking the whole set
I made a profile in FSUIPC sending axis throttle control to FS.
The engines respond to this axis, the throttles do not. they won't move. This is the same scenario as when using the PFC driver.
I guess the Airsimmer bus just doesn't like  either setup.I see a bunch of other people having this as well.
    Thanks for your help

  2. I should also make clear what the anomaly is here.using the PFC quadrant, the engines respond to throttle input. The throttle levers in the VC do not.The autothrust system seems to fight the inputs from the PFC quadrant leaving the flight a mess!Airsimmer states the acft is incompatible with FSUIPC?I don't get this. Are other Airbus A320 models suffering from anything like this?

  3. Hi All, I recently  purchased the Airsimmer A320.I love this acfts realism, but it is virtually unflyable due to the fact that I use a PFC serial throttle quadrant and I can't get it to play nice with the scarebus.
Has anyone been able to find a workaround for this?
I've tried the airsimmer forums............Crickets.They've known about this problem since 2009.

  4. Hi guys, I am having a problem getting the alt hold to work in the Dc-9 updated with SP1 for FS9.I align the vert. speed wheel with the alt. hold marks and it always hunts 100-200FPM in either a slow climb or descent. In addition I can never get the alt. hold to illuminate in the autopilot annunciator.I have followed the manual but cannot seem to fix.How do you get the alt. hold to work?

  5. :D I'm glad to hear of the upcoming update.

I agree with Lee, TCAS (A must) and possibly WXR would be a nice addition.

As far as fixes I think the NAV displays need a total rework as they were so frame hungry they actually blurred my outside ground textures.I replaced them with Tony D'ambrosio's REALCRT displays and problem solved

the Window reflections need a BIG tone down too.

Another issue is in the VC the engine start switches will not light or stay engaged. you either have to start in the 2D cockpit or manually hold them open in both MD-10 and -11

some new cockpit sounds like flap lever, auto spoiler and switch clicks would be nice too especially the glareshield rotary speed, HDG and ALT. select knobs.

some form of thrust management through the FMC would be nice too

I'll try to think of anything else and post here.

  6. :D Hi All after experimenting a bit I found a fix for the VC reflections.simply go into the acft texture folders of the MD-11 or MD-10 that you fly. locate the 2 files skymd11VCW_l.bmp and skymd11vcw_t .bmp. then rename them by changing the file extension from .BMP to .BAK.

no more annoying reflections and no errors.the only downside I have found is you lose your gold tinted sunshades but that is a small price to pay for outside visibility.

    I hope this helps

  7. Hi All here is my wish list for the next update.

    1. get rid of the VC reflections- they make the VC almost useless as under some conditions they block the outside view.

    2. fix/optimize the nav displays. by removing your NDs and replacing with freeware MFDs by Ken Mitchell I fixed the perf. issues and the problem with my blurring outside textures while flying the md-11.

    3. on both the 10 and 11 the VC start switches will not light and stay engaged for engine start. they work ok in the 2d panel though

4.overhead yaw damp fail lights always illuminated- switches wil not engage VC or 2d

5.could use switch, packs, and other environmental sounds as well like alt. and hdg select knob clack sounds

    Thank you

  8. Hi All I just bought this product and read the manual.I am also well versed in MD-11 ops as I ran-up and taxiied them in the real world. here are my problems (with the MD-11 of course)

1.All systems set for start I cannot get the start button to light and rermain engaged in either the -11 or the MD-10. the button releases as soon as you remove your mouse pointer.

    2. the yaw damp switches annunciate fail at all times, wil not engage.

3.altitude wil not capture in V/S or any other mode.is the ALT. window reference only? not very realistic

4.for the autothrottles there is no limits page in the FMC. how is accurate power set?will not maintain speeds either

    5. This one I don't understand......When using this bird my FPS are OK but it actually blurs my scenery! bad

This is the FS9 version 1.2

I hope these issues can be fixed
