  1. the problem is still on going, temps still climbs........ Now I also have the heavy turbulence probs
  2. thanks John My temps are all over the place.... 17 @ take off, climbs as the plane climbs, had it adjust its self @ FL330 -21 to +45, thats really nice :D thanks anyway, may have to reinstall it.
  3. yeah its fully disabled, thats why I am using ASX. Many thanks, its to do with the ASX update... was working fine. FSX is so hard for the guys to make their addons work, I do feel sorry for them, and MS should help them out a little.
  4. TCAS problem sorted, multiplayer has to enabled in FSINN, just activesky X is still a problem
  5. Hi I have FSUIPC 4.28, which has worked 100%, I have just updated two things, Activesky X and PMDG, my weather has gone crazy, heavy turbulance, and temps way off, activesky X says EGLL temp 17deg, PMDG 747 says 36deg, and then goes up as the plane climbs. Restarting ASX seems to help, but it will crash FSX upon restart. Also I now have no TCAS, I have selected show all traffic in PMDG and the TCAS tests ok, TCAS is on 100% sure, but no other aircraft, on FSINN aircraft are seen on the radar near me. TCAS is enabled also in FSUIPC. Does anyone have any ideas whats going on, and I am guessing these updates have screwed FSX  heres my ini TemperatureSmoothness=0 DisconnTrimForAP=No ZeroElevForAPAlt=No ThrottleSyncAll=No WhiteMessages=No ShowPMcontrols=No SpoilerIncrement=512 MagicBattery=No RudderSpikeRemoval=No ElevatorSpikeRemoval=No AileronSpikeRemoval=No ReversedElevatorTrim=No ClockSync=No ClockSyncMins=5 ClearWeatherDynamics=No OwnWeatherChanges=No TimeForSelect=4 LoadFlightMenu=No LoadPlanMenu=No PauseAfterCrash=No ZapSound=firework ShortAircraftNameOk=No TCASid=Flight TCASrange=100 AxisCalibration=No DirectAxesToCalibs=No ShowMultilineWindow=Yes SuppressSingleline=No SuppressMultilineFS=No AxisIntercepts=No WeatherReadFactor=2 WeatherRewriteSeconds=1 SimConnectStallTime=1 MouseWheelTrimSpeed=1 FixMachSpeedBug=No [AutoSave] AutoSaveEnabled=Yes Interval=60 Files=10 SaveOnGround=No Next=8 1=Sat 152923 2=Sat 153023 3=Sat 153122 4=Sat 153222 5=Sat 153321 6=Sat 153421 7=Sat 153520 8=Sat 152625 9=Sat 152724 10=Sat 152824 [GPSout] GPSoutEnabled=No Port= Speed=4800 Interval=1000 PosTo6Decimal=Yes Sentences= [WideServer] WideFSenabled=Yes AdvertiseService=1 Port=8002 Port2=9002 [buttons] 1=P1,16,K55,11 2=P1,18,K56,11 3=P1,17,K48,11 4=P1,1,K54,11 5=P1,15,K48,10 6=P1,19,K71,8 7=P1,14,K52,11 8=P2,0,K52,11 9=P2,4,K50,11 10=P2,2,K51,11 11=P2,1,K49,8 12=P2,3,K83,11 13=P2,5,K80,11 14=P0,4,K83,11 15=P0,5,K50,11 16=P0,2,K222,11 17=P0,0,K221,11 18=P0,3,K219,11 19=P0,1,K189,11 [JoystickCalibration] ExcludeThrottleSet=Yes ExcludeMixtureSet=Yes ExcludePropPitchSet=Yes SepRevsJetsOnly=No ApplyHeloTrim=No FlapsSetControl=0 FlapDetents=No ReverserControl=66292 Reverser1Control=66422 Reverser2Control=66425 Reverser3Control=66428 Reverser4Control=66431 MaxThrottleForReverser=256 AileronTrimControl=66731 RudderTrimControl=66732 CowlFlaps1Control=66162 CowlFlaps2Control=66163 CowlFlaps3Control=66164 CowlFlaps4Control=66165 SteeringTillerControl=0 MaxSteerSpeed=60 [Axes] any help would be great many thanks Paul
  6. Just an update, everything is still working well, FSUIPC is doing its job and so is PMDG and FSX, still got Accelerator removed and FS2Crew. :D :D :D
  7. ok many thanks Peter heres what I have done. 1) removed all FSX software, FSX deluxe and Acceleration     2) removed all addons, PMDG, FSUIPC, active sky, fs2crew etc (late night  ) 3) reinstalled FSX deluxe only 4) reinstalled PMDG, FSUIPC etc 5) reassigned my buttons 6) everything now works fine. restarted FSX all works, buttons stayed cool :P So I am assuming that either FS2Crew was causing my problem or Acceleration was. Everything is working as it should now. I am sorry I got frustrated with you, but I knew how simple it was to use addons, and somehthing was very wrong with my install. FSX is highly tempermental and will crash and stop functioning at the slightest error. Thanks for your help
  8. Ah .. you mean the Add-Ons menu doesn't appear? Or it does but FSUIPC is not listed in that menu? This is indicating a possibly Simconnect problem. Please, when it happens, close FSX, then save the FSUIPC4.LOG file, if there is one, and show it to me. Some real information for the first time! Let's examine this: Your items (1) and (2) imply that although FSUIPC does have the assignment, i.e. it is reloading it, that assignment isn't doing what it did before in your PMDG aircraft. Right? Your (4) actualy seems to confirm that it is PMDG which isn't remembering the key assignment. You say "PMDG doesnt seeeven the keys, if I press ctrl shf 8 on the keyboard.". So, how is this "Ctr Shft 8" assigned in the PMDG aircraft? Are you sure you don't actually have to go into a PMDG menu and explicitly tell it to save your assignments? Instructions: • Run Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004. • Load the PMDG 747-400 and enter the simulator. • Pull down the PMDG menu, then select GENERAL and KEYBOARD COMMANDS. • In the “Command Category” drop down menu, select “MCP” • Scroll down to item number 55 “MCP Set TOGA” and enter a key command such as CTRL+Z • Move the item number 56 “MCP Abort TO/Discon AT” and enter a key command such as CTRL+X • Note: These are the key commands that I use on my setup- and they do not conflict with any other key commands that I have established on my rig. You may need to establish your own settings…) • Now, in the “Command Category” drop down menu, select “YOKE” • For “Yoke – Press AP Discon” enter the Z key. Now, you simply need to map each of these three key commands to a different button on your hardware, and you’ll have the Autopilot Disconnect, TOGA button and A/T disconnect buttons at your fingertips just like the pro’s! (If you map these key combinations to your joystick’s buttons, pressing the button will trigger the key command as if you had typed it in yourself. When our simulation sees these key commands it will respond appropriately! If you absolutely cannot figure out how to map a key combination to your joystick buttons, If not, are you by any chance using Vista and have FSX installed in its default location, in Program Files? If so I suspect that the problem is that anything PMDG wants to write back to its folders is being stopped -- Vista write-protects all folders in Program Files against normal applications. No using XP To verify the latter you could try running FSX "as administator" (that is right click, select Run AsAdministrator". This would allow it, and PMDG software, to write to the folders. Okay. See if any of the above helps. There is an alternative now, which might work for you. If you download FSUIPC version 4.272 from the FSX Downloads announcement above, you will find an added facility for "Mouse Macros". There is documentation inside, and it isn't too hard. You can add new controls to FSUIPC based on mouse clicks on the panels (only add-on panels, in general). Then you can assign those to buttons. Try it and let me know. Ok will try that out ty Pete
  9. No thats not confusing me at all, I have all files displayed, FSUIPC is not in FSX on the tab on the window bar, it is within its correct location. I deleted the buttons I messed up, I reset them in FSUIPC they worked fine 100%. I restarted FSX and now they no longer work. I.e. 1) I set ctrl shf 8 to button (X), button (X) works 100% Auto throttle 100% on or off no problem. 2) restart FSX, button (X) no longer works auto throttle. 3) FSUIPC sees button X as my assignment 4) PMDG doesnt see FSUIPC assignment or even the keys, if I press ctrl shf 8 on the keyboard. 5) the assignment no longer works 6) I have set these assigments fine 10 to 20 times, they have worked fine 10 to 20 times, but soon as I reload FSX they are gone. So I guess its something to do with PMDG, and not you at all. But you are the only person who offers help, which isnt fair on you, and sorry we crossed swords, think we were talking at cross purposes. Sorry not angry at you, just getting tired of trying to use this
  10. It wouldn't have installed anything into FSX -- FSUIPC3 cannot be installed in FSX, it does nothing, and it would certainly not have replaced FSUIPC4 as the names are different. It seems that you are messing about and not knowing what you are doing. All this works fine for many hundreds of folks. I am trying my best to help you but getting information out of you is turning out to be extremely difficult. You getting irritated and irrational won't help. Just delete the whole INI file and start again. don't touch anything like "aircraft specific" as you obviously don't appreciate what it is for. Just keep it simple. For Pete's sake, you are only programming 5 damned buttons! It's so easy! Tell me what you don't understand and we'll go through it, step by step! What does "gone completely" mean? Please try to make some sense. YOUR PROGRAM HAS GONE FROM FSX FSUCPI IS MISSING Pete
  11. for. Radar Contact? RC doesn't install FSUIPC4 that I know of! QUOTE IMPORTANT NOTE] – You do not need to purchase FSUIPC separately, RC will install a copy that will provide the necessary functionality for RC to run. If you need features that are provided by the full FSUIPC package, you will have to purchase FSUIPC. from the RC website!!!!! does install a version. I never said it installed Version 4, I quite clearly stated it installed an older version. What's all that? Please just either find the FSUIPC4.DLL in the FSX modules folder, right click, choose Properties-Version, and read the version there! There should be none of that "Installer for" business. What on Earth are you looking at? The Installer log? Why? If you want the version number from the Log you have to look at the FSUIPC4.Log! This is version 4.26  Well, you've set the same 5 buttons for "PMDG747-400 VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRWAYS Penelope" and all other aircraft, except "PMDG - 747-400 GE CF6 Engines", where you've only set two of those plus a third button doing nothing ("K0" is "null2, or "no key"). If you want the same 5 buttons operating the same 5 KeyPresses for all aircraft, as you seem to have programmed really (except for that latter mess), why are you bothering to use the "aircraft specific" checkbox? I suspect you are only succeeding in confusing yourself. Just delete all of the above except for ok will do, dont you understand what I am saying, when I go back into FSX or your program them "buttons/mess are not appearing" Thats why I have reasigned them over and over, you know if I knew they were there I wouldnt have reasigned them, its just a lack of knowledge on my behalf, I didnt expect to have to mess about with all this when I got FSX and PMDG, if I would have known to be honest I wouldnt of bothered at all........... [buttons] 1=P1,18,K56,11 2=P1,17,K48,11 3=P1,16,K55,11 4=P1,14,K49,11 5=P1,1,K54,11 And please don't come back here until you at least know which version of FSUIPC we are dealing with. I told you three ways of finding out and you did none of them! ::-( Pete Hey just hang in there brother, I am sorry to confuse you, but I am really agitated by FSX and its addons, it just hasnt worked properly since I have had it. And apart from you there seems to be no other help.......from either PMDG or FSX (MS) You know I have loaded FSX twice and your program has gone completely, man am I starting to get angry, I would like my money back from MS, FSX sucks.

  13. I have reinstalled the latest version still the same Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.26
  14. Sorry Peter, its like treacle talk to me :-) I use the PMDG 747 all the time, but when I change to another 747 PMDG model, assign keys in FSUIPC everything works fine. I exit FSX and reload, then all my buttons have gone from FSUIPC. So to answer your questions The control assignments in FSX stay fine, in PMDG they stay as I set them, when I go to use them nothing happens, and in FSUIPC my commands/key assignments have gone. And also 2) Whoa! Where do you "reset buttons"? What do you mean by "reset"? Is this in FSX or FSUIPC? Sorry I didnt explain, if I reset I mean by resetting my flight in FSX, then all assignments have gone from FSUIPC 3) So are you, all this time, talking about button assignments in FSUIPC itself? This is what I have been trying to get clear. You've never actually been explicit! When you make assignments in FSUIPC4 they are saved to a file called "FSUIPC4.INI". You'll find it in your FSX Modules folder. Make your assignments and show that file to me. It's an ordinary text file. It sounds as if you are using the "aircraft specific" facilities by expecting the buttons assigned for one aircraft to be available for another. But first, let's make sure you are actually really using the "most recent" version. I don't want to waste my time trying to fix anything already fix Yeah my version is different, I downloaded and reinstalled the lastest version, but I reinstalled RC and that contained another version of FSUIPC (older). weird.... I will update again, my current version is Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.152 Looking in registry for FSX install path: new version Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.26 ctrl shf 8 = AT arm ctrl shf 7 = L CMD ctrl shf0 = Set TOGA ctrl shf6 = AP dicon 1=Thu 213504 2=Thu 213624 3=Thu 213934 4=Thu 214054 5=Thu 214213 6=Fri 144817 [buttons.PMDG747-400 VIRGIN ATLANTIC AIRWAYS Penelope] 0=P1,18,K56,11 1=P1,16,K55,11 2=P1,14,K49,11 3=P1,17,K48,11 4=P1,1,K54,11 [buttons] 1=P1,18,K56,11 2=P1,17,K48,11 3=P1,16,K55,11 4=P1,14,K49,11 5=P1,1,K54,11 [buttons.PMDG - 747-400 GE CF6 Engines] 0=P1,1,K54,11 1=P1,18,K0,11 2=P1,16,K55,11
  15. Yeah I confused things. All I want to do is keep my settings upon exit from FSX, I was refering to the config within FSX. not MS. The FSUIPC is the most recent version, if I change AC and reset buttons all works fine, once I exit FSX everything resets  no buttons are assigned. But all Axis work fine, because they are within FSX. But all my FSUIPC are gone. Even if I open FSUIPC and push the button it doesnt display the key commands to buttons. Sorry about another post, but I have posted before on other forums, and peep never reply, sorry if yours differ. :-)
