I have a strange problem with FSUIPC5 (latest version, registered): Despite being listed in the dll.xml, it doesn't show up in the menu when I start P3D V4. And my mpanel from VRInsight states that FSUIPC is missing.
I deleted the content of the modules folder as far as it concerned FSUIPC then.
When I try to reinstall it, this process is vers short and it doesn't bring up the dialog for the serial anymore, and when I check the registry for FSUIPC5 (key), there is none.
I attached the install log from the desktop, where I started the install.
How could I do a fresh install now and reenter the key? Or how do I get FSUIPC shown in P3D V4 again?
Additional info: I just noticed that everything is installed as 0 bytes!?
So it seems I just need an extracted FSUIPC5.dll to be good to go - where might I get one?

I seriously doubt that it is a registry error. All other programs install perfectly and see the FSX location (I know because I am reinstalling a lot of things right now).
Could it be because my FSX and OS are german?

Same problem here, I have FSX installed away from the system drive (as it should be done), and the program complained it couldn't find c:\FSX. Boom - and that was my free trial.

Yeah, it seems it was a FDC related issue, this is where the parameter was set by me (and corrected). I think it was the reason for the problems, but not the real cause.
I hate it when I fix a problem not really knowing WHY it was fixed *g*

Ok, it seems I have resolved the issue by allowing a response interval of 1 second instead of 0.25 seconds.
I installed FDC on a second computer via WideFS, and with my profile for FDC it displayed the same error - so I was able to rule out the soundcard or the driver. As I noticed it ran fine with the default response time, I applied this time to my setup and - voila.

Firewall is the one in Vista - turning it off completely doesn't make a difference.
What I notice is that both FDC or Radar Contact are listed as non responding in the taskmanager when I wait for the sound output.
And no, I didn't miss a bit from the warning message - that was exactly what was written in the alert box. I really wondered why it was popping up and why it refered to IE - it wasn't even in use then...

Hi,
I have a problem that might be related to FSUIPC, but I am not completely sure.
I installed FDC Live Cockpit V3.90 lately.
Installation went fine so far. FDC tried to install an old version of FSUIPC, but discovered the newer one (4.5.3.0) on my PC, so it didn't.
The next thing I get during installation (FSUIPC4 Installer for FSX) is a warning window saying: Problem! My signature check fails on the installed FSUIPC4.DLL. Please check that I am not listed as an untrusted publisher in Internet Explorer. Then I have to reconfirm my registration numbers and FDC is properly installed.
Now, FDC Live cockpit runs without problems but one: The checklists take ages to load, and during the checklists the menu entry in FSX disappears until the answer is spoken (takes up to 30 seconds instead of instant reply).
I managed to get this problem away (but don't know how, really, I allowed FDC to communicate through the firewall, then it was gone). But today I installed radar contact. It also tried to install a version of FSUIPC, discovered the newer one and then didn't install FSUIPC. This time, I didn't have the warning box.
But now Radar Contact and checklists in FDC are slow again. Radar Contact takes as long to react as the checklists from FDC do. Firewall settings do not help now.
OS is Vista 64, soundcard an internal Realtek HD audio. 8GB RAM.
Both FSUIPC and WideFS are latest versions, as are Radar Contact and FDC. I am totally at a loss here, what do you suggest that I do?

Pete, thank you for the answer. The latest version refered to 5.103.
Actually, the install.log I sent you wasn't truncated, I just took it as it was.
The new build (g) worked perfectly now.
Before that, I was able to solve my problem by a FSUIPC5.dll (5.103) from a friend I just copied into the modules folder.
Whatever you changed in the last build, fixed my problem.
