It's finally all coming together(almost). FS2004 and Google Earth.
You can follow your flights on Google Earth(GE) now. This looks very promising. The only drawback is it is a separate program that runs in a different window or monitor or a separate computer. And it is only USD$9.95.
Next on the "I Want" list: replace the standard FS2004 ground textures with GE where it is possible. Maybe in FSX.
All we need now is one of you expert scenery/mesh designers to make an Emma Field overlay for GE.

Bill,
The heli pad you sent me works great. And the new project looks wonderful. Can't wait to try it. Now, if you can work a little magic and put Bill Lyons' Red Carpet Xpress office and hangar somewhere so we can fly in with our new Sino Swearingen SJ30's.
Fritz is going to have to fill up that tank or stock up on his heart medications.(or both)

Simon,
I still get the same error.
Error 404: /FSFiles/Emma Lights.zip is not found at this location
But I did get the file from Bill Dick by sending him an e-mail. All the otherfiles download correctly.

N430EF Heavy to Emma Tower...Request permission to land on Runway 36Left....
Maybe some jetways coming out of the clubhouse...refueling and catering trucks running around...FedEx and UPS cargo ramps and hangars...
We could go crazy with this alternate universe Emma Internation Airport.

It looks like Richard was updating the Forum on release day but has not fully updated the website yet. The products page has Close To Release but when you click on the AC Vol2 link it has a link to Simmarket and 2 other non-working links to other sites.
Can't wait to try it in my newly repainted Carenado 206.

Did I miss something - Alaska Cinematic Volume 2 is out. I was in Richard Goldstein's Georender Forum and happend over to the Georender.org website. There it is telling me where to buy it. I didn't find any announcements until just now on AVSIM and it was available on Friday. Talk about a quiet release...Richard just sneaks them out when they are ready.

Thanks Paul for being so generous with your time and talents. I'm thoroughly enjoying your new paintjob. So far I haven't tried any other versions besides the floats. I haven't flown them for a while so it's time to catch up with a few other scenery area as well.
-
Paul, I'll keep an eye open for it. Thank you so much.
What airport is that in alot of your shot for this plane? I see you change the logo on the hangar depending on the repaint.
-
I like the float version better also. The colors flow in a better line. And I see it has the wooden oar also. An added bonus.
Thanks,
-
Thislooks really sweet. I wouldn't change a thing. I really like the subtle stains and used look.
A few weeks ago I drove past a small local airport that also has a Cessna dealership(or whatever they are called). Sitting on the tarmac was a brand new White/blue 206 on floats awaiting delivery to a happy new owner. It had a very nice paint scheme and really shiny. Here it is sitting amongst a lot of old and even older Cessnas, Pipers and others where the glass barely shines. It looked so nice nonetheless. I wish I had my camera that day. Here in northwest New Jersey we don't see many floatplanes. I haven't been past since so I don't know if the plane is based here or elsewhere.
I'll have to drive by this week.
Thanks for the shots, too.

I'm sure a lot of Emma-ites might like a copy. Especially with the Float version available now. I'm not a big float user, until now. Lake Cushman will be seeing a lot more of me as well as stopping by Fritz's dock there.

Thanks, I'll check with Paul.
Here are 2 shots Bjorn posted on Avsim on his Skymaster repaint. The texture files are there too in fsd337_effc.zip. Realizing beggars can't be choosers, If it could look anything like Bjorn's gorgeous job I would be thrilled. It's so bright and clean. And having my EFC# as the tail number would be fantastic.
Thanks to any takers.

I just took delivery of the Carenado Stationair with floats and am having a great time with her. Now that Carenado has released a paint kit for her, it's time to deck her out in Emma Field colors.
Does anyone care to take a try at it? As compensation I can offer you a hearty Thank You and the knowledge that I fly all my planes in EFFC paint.
I would try it myself but have no skills whatsoever in that area. And there's a reason my wife won't let me paint the living room...you should see the kitchen.
All kidding aside, I would really appreciate someone taking a crack at a Stationair repaint. Bjorn did a great job on the my FSD Skymaster. I'll post his repaint as soon as I can. Others have also done marvelous jobs on other planes.
Thanks in advance.

So I finally took the plunge and bought the Aerosoft Beaver. I can't believe I waited this long but I was busy usually flying Skymasters or Heli's. Now it's time for a little bush flying.
Are there any repaints of the beaver with EFFC colors? I searched the usual places but couldn't find any. And Simon's site is still down.
Anyone?

Both PayPal and eBay say they want to know about this kind of activity. The want you to forward the e-mail you got to spoof@paypal.com ro spoof@ebay.com. You get a nice reply back from them saying the are looking into it. I don't know if anything actually happens after that but at least I know I did all I could.
I get the bank e-mails all the time. I know enough to not answer them and often get a chuckle out of them. My wife on the other hand is wondering when I opened that Grand Cayman Bank account and how much is in it.

Great sequence. Both the abreviated one the full sequence. But I've seen more smoke than that from those 727's. And not on purpose either.
-
Bob,
It's been pretty quiet around here lately. Any news on your FS projects?
-
...and there were so many people that hung onto FS2002 when 2004 came out and still may be running it for certain things. If all my addons won't work, then I will be using FS2004 for a while even after getting the next version.

It looks like Richard Goldstein is about set to release his long-awaited Chelan Muni scenery by GeoRender. You can read more about it at:
http://www.georender.org/ChelanMuni.htm
On his forum he said hopefully by Yom Kippur(October 13).

Björn,
Understood and done!
Thanks,
-
Björn, nice looking repaint. Just got the Baron and loving it. Any chance of getting some kind of template so we can have our own EFC number on the back?
Thanks, again. Also looking forward to the reapint for the A-36.

FSD-International has announced that their long-awaited(at least by me) Cessna 337 Skymaster is soon to be released. This is one of my all-time favorite airplanes. From the screenshots so far it looks to be on par with the other premier aircraft be designed today.
I have been flying Mike Stone's 337 Skymaster, which even has an Emma Field repaint, for some time now and it is a lot of fun to fly. I just can't wait to climb into the new FSD model. Hopefully there will be a repaint kit so someone can make an Emma Field version.

Bob,
Does this mean the patch is just about ready?
Great news. I haven't been flying much lately but now have more time again. Looking forward to fequenting Harvey again.

And we thought Fritz got upset with twin-engines coming to Emma Field...wait til he sees this!
I have an F-14 Tomcat that stops dead the second you hit the airbrakes. The biggest drawback is that it also stops dead in the air...
FS Earth - Now that's what I'm talkin' about!!

True, Francois. I spend at least an hour a day just "exploring" GE. It's frustrating to see how much is not clear. So far in the USA only New Jersey, Massachusetts and Indiana are the only state completely done. I live in New Jersey so for me it is great. But around the Emma Field/Seattle area gets fuzzy as well as most of the rest of the USA with the exception of most cities.
I always wonder how much it would cost to have a whole state or small country covered with hi-res. I'm just guessing but the three states listed must have paid to have it done for whatever reason and since it is done, GE uses the hi-res images too.
When Microsoft came out with the TerraServers a while back it seemed like the images were much clearer than GE is now. They were in B&W but might have come from color sources. Wishfull thinking would be for MS to use that in FSX.
