  1. Nigel, thanks for the info about the "fix". I applied it over the CYVRv install. I know it is installed out of order of course but everything looks OK. I can now see the AC terminal. The problem I was more concerned about was the coloured ground textures around the buildings behind the fences. DOH! I just realized! These textures are probably the parking lots. Is this correct? I should be good to go now. Thanks for everything and now I can get back to enjoying your work, worry free!

    Best regards,

    Tom

  2. Thx for your complimentary remarks.

    I presume you are using the upgrade CYVR42v+ which is available at the Vancouver Landings Site. Follow the installation instructions closely but its texture folder should include CAHangE and CAHangE_LM which are the missing textures.

    Nigel

    Nigel, I have upgraded your excellent work on CYVR after installing V+ and I notice the same texture problem as "downtown_cyvr" above. I have the 2 textures mentioned above installed in my trexture folder as well. But I do not see the buildings. I installed v CYVR42 before installing CYVR42v.

  3. Thanks Francois. Would I be OK then even if I have manually entered the scenery library entries for MF? Or would it serve me better to uninstall and reinstall again just to be on the safe side. If so, would this affect any other scenery addons such as Holger's Columbia R Gorge, and the Anette Is. scenery along with UT Canada and USA etc. I'm thinking all I would have to do is uninstall and then install MF again, quick and simple.

    Regards,

    Tom

  4. I purchased and installed MF correctly, I think, today. I know I do not need to "add" the scenery in the FS9 Scenery Library as the install program, from what I understand does this. My problem is I do not see any entries for MF in the library and am wondering what I have to do to fix this? Also, I realize the layering should be in such a way that FSG mesh is higher in priority than the MF scenery, but MF is higher than UT. Is this correct? I will worry about that when I determine that I have MF setup properly in the Scenery Library.

    Tom

  5. Hi, I fly for "British Airways Virtual" using their the online OSP "Flight Monotor System". I got this message in my OSP my last flight. "No FSUIPC Connection" after FS frozeup on me. Not sure why? I didn't have this problem when using the previous version of OSP. I am currntly using the latest version OSP with the patch. Everything was going fine until final approach and FS9 seemed to freezeup after I attempted to engage LOC/VOR and LNAV in the PMDG 737NG panel. I noticed this message on the OSP flight monitor. I am using the latest v3.2.0.0 FSUIPC (the file version, but the properties tab states that is indeed v3.2.0.1). Maybe this was just an isolated incident for me or could it be a compatibility issue between the latest version's of FSUIPC and OSP. I didn't seem to experience anything like this with FSUIPC versions before 3.2.0.0.

  6. Not sure if this affects Sim Flyers scenery but I opicked this tip up in the avsim forum:

    Q) How can I change runway light settings?

    A) To get your runways configs light size add these lines under fs9.cfg display:

    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=1.0 //scales edge, center,end,touchdown,runways

    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_VASI_SCALAR=1.0 // scales VASI lights)

    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_APPROACH_SCALAR=1.0 // scales approach light bars

    RUNWAY_LIGHTS_STROBE_SCALAR=1.0 //scales RAILs and ODALs)

    More the value is lower, more the light will decrease in size, 0.5, 0.005 etc.

    I use 0.7 and it works well for me (eg. RUNWAY_LIGHTS_SURFACE_SCALAR=0.7)

    Also, as well, you can download a .bmp file (rlights.zip) from the Avsim library and place it in the main FS9 Texture file (and overwrite when prompted). The lights don't look as big and bright, but more realistic airport and surrounding lights.

    I've made these changes and the lights really do look better.

    Hope this is a solution to your problem.

  7. OK check that. I reinstalled FS2002 and the scenery for CYYZ and everything went smoothly. I re-installed your patched update and I can now see the taxiway lights at night. Everything looks great! I think I'll keep FS2002 on my hard drive for a while longer as other patches for addons continue to come in....LOL. I was in too much of a hurry to wipe FS2002 off my HD. So, i'm happy...yhanks for the patched FS2004 installer.

    Thanks, Tom

  8. John, I think you should post a separate communication to that effect. Not everyone is going to read this particular post to find out if there is a patch available. When you say "everything has been updated last week"--what does that mean? You say to "re-download the files"--what files, and where do we get them? I have already gotten rid of FS2002 from my HD, so how can I re-apply this update if it is dependant on having the previous download of the scenery in FS2002? I am of course referring to the runmay light problem in FS2004.

    Thanks,

    Tom

  9. Hi, I have a couple of questions regarding your great scenery. First off let me congratulate you on the scenery! It is an awesome addon. I'm glad I purchased it as it is well worth the price. Anyway, I didn't notice this before now, but I cannot see any taxiway/runway signs when taxiing around the airport. Should I be seeing signs or did I read the features page wrong: "Runways and taxiways including all markings and hundreds of signs, all with realistic lighting"? Secondly, I was just wondering, will there be an "AI Traffic" file made available for download for CYYZ as has been the case for your other airport projects? I have "My Traffic" on my system and just upgraded to version 2.0 with their latest patch file. I was wondering if maybe there is a conflict with the "My Traffic" .bgl file that is causing me not to see the airport signs for SimFlyers CYYZ scenery? In FS2002, when I "Go to Airport" I see 3 versions of CYYZ listed. FS2002 obviously loads your scenery. But if I am departing CYYZ I will choose Simflyers scenery. Could this possibly be a problem as to why I can't see the signs?

    Regards,

    Tom Stewart
