  1. Hey Simon, Were you able to find a fix for your spoiler issue? I came to this forum because I'm having the same problem with my spoilers as well. I keep getting a caution message saying spoiler disagree, or something to that affect. this is happening to me in the air, on the ground, with engines at idle or max thrust and with flaps down or up. I haven't found the fix yet so please let me know if you do. Regards, Steve
  2. During cruise, I'm programing direct to a waypoint in the FMS. Before activating direct, I'm trying to insert an INTC course for the waypoint on LSK R5 but this does nothing. Can anyone tell me what the trick is to being able to put in an intercept course or is this feature not programmable on the EJet? Thanks for helping, Steve
  3. Hi Ruben, I finally got it to work. The problem is windows8 64 bit. I'm using it in windows7 64 bit & all is right with the world again Steve
  4. Thanks for all the info scoobflight. I appreciate you taking the time to get back to us. Just so I understand, you believe this is a problem with the way flightsim has installed? Thanks again for you help Steve
  5. I began in seatle then moved the plane to Houston then Washington DC. The FMS doesn't recognize any of the 3 airports. FWIW, I began the sim with FS9 then tried FSX & now FSX steam, all with the same results. One other point, when I open the FMS > MENU > MISC MENU > flight config, there's a line that say "org/dest display off" I don't know if that means anything or not, but I can't change it. On the MFD when I select 'plan' then check the airport and navaid boxes, there are no airports or navaids showing on the display within 500 miles of my present position. I'm not sure the plane knows where its at. Steve
  6. No Ruben you're not the only one. I see where others have posted the same issue on other forums. What I'm starting to think is there may be no fix to this. With no FMS the plane is pretty much grounded. The only thing I can think of is something in our computers registry or settings has to be creating this problem. I've wasted a lot of good time trying to figure it out & have about given up. If I find anything that works I'll let you know Steve
  7. I am not using steam. I see where feels here requires us to fave FSX sp2. Are you saying sp2 is not going to do it?
  8. Hey Ruben, Let me know if you find a fix for your problem. I've been having the exact same problem as you for the last 2 weeks. I've tried loading just as the manual says, tried uninstalling and reinstalling in FS2004 and I am now running this in FSX and I still have the same problem. I'm sorry I couldn't help more but I know how frustrating it is. Below I posted a screen shot but here I was finally able to put in the LAT LON for KSEA but still no departure airport on the next page. Steve
  9. After a lot of hours trying, wilco informs me that the E Jet is not compatible in windows8 64 bit. I can't find one way or another on their website if the E Jet is compatible with FSX in windows8 64 bit, it only addresses windows7. Can anyone here confirm or deny windows8 for me please? Thanks Steve
  10. Thanks scoobflight for helping
  11. I just bought the E-jet & all seemed to install fine. I've read the manual to the point of initializing the FMS. I hit NAV > NEXT > 1L. I then see 3 lines - last position, Ref wpt & GPS 1 Position. The 2nd, Ref wpt position, only shows dashes with no LAT Longs and I cant enter the airport on this or any other page. I don't have a HDG or ATT error message so I think the FMS is aligned. Could anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong please. If it makes any difference I'm using FS2004 in windows 8 Thanks in advance for any help, Steve
  12. Thank you for your trouble Andy. It's up and going again. Steve
  13. After installing, the dialog box tells me that 4.923 installed okay. Then I check "check existing registrations" where I then get the 'registration was cancelled or doesn't check correctly' dialog. Add-ons did install into FSX but I can't register there either. Trying to register as a new member, the dialog tells me that I have an invalid 12 digit key.
  14. What made it difficult was that you made too easy. You took care of the problem, Thank you
  15. I've read an article here addressing the same problem, controling the speed at which my stab trim travels. I've searched the user's guide but I don't follow what it's saying. As it stands, my stab trim goes thru a full range in about 1.5 seconds, I'd like to increase this time to about 15 seconds. The user guide say: The elevator trim is a signed WORD at offset x0BC0. For this sort of information you'd need the Programmer's Guide in the FSUIPC4 SDK. I don't know what is meant by "word at offset x0BCD" & haven't had luck yet finding the programmers guide. The user guide goes on to say: Select the "Offset SWord Increment" control to program the nose up trim. 2. Enter x0BC0, or just xBC0 into the offset edit box. 3. Enter 256/16383 in the parameter box. The 256 is the increment and 16383 is I don't understand what I'm being asked to do & I don't know where to find the offset edit box. I'm not terribly computer literate, as simple as you can make it will go a long way for me, thank you in advanced for any help, warm regards, Steve
  16. Tech support told me this conflict is a Windows 7 issue (I'm taking their word for it). They were able to install it on C:/ drive. Everything works well now. Thanks again for your time
  17. Thank you Mr. Dawson. I was refering to paragraph 1 page 8 of the users manual. I'm still re-reading it, but now I believe you're correct, I think I didn't read it carefully enough. Good day to you
  18. I tried right-clicking a couple of days ago, per the user manual, to try to run as administrator. It didn't work then and still doesn't. I remember a couple of years ago when installing on the old computer you told me to place fs9 in C:, it worked beautifully. This time around the new computer didn't seem to want to cooperate. What I'm going to do is uninstall everything, It will take very litle time and effort & this time I'll be a bit more determined in getting fs9 into C:\ No need to respond, just want to say thank you very much for all your time!! Steve
  19. I'm now using windows 7. I got out the old computer (XP), where everything is working fine & opened the fs9 modules folder. I sat this same computer down side by side next to the new computer & opened the modules folder there as well and compared which files were missing. The files that're missing from the new computer are: FSUIPC Configuration setting file FSUIPC Regestration entry FSUIPC Text document FSUIPC1 Text document Oddly enough, I did a search on "FSUIPC INI" in the start menu & it shows the file sitting where it should be, in the FS9 modules folder. But when I click on it an error message tells me the file has been changed or moved. Also I went looking through all the fs9 folders earlier yesterday per the manual, but wasn't able to find anything there. Thanks for your efforts, Steve
  20. I'll be a little more carefull next time about not posting in the FAQ section. Thank you I've done this several times in the past years & it's always been so easy. This time around I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong on the install. I saved 3.98 to my desktop, clicked on unzipp then I clicked on install, the yellow & gray round globe. I get the text log, then confirmation, then a box prompting me to register. From there I add my information & key then open modules in FS2004 & there's my name & email along with 3.98 & a "thank you!". I thought from this point it was installed. I'm following the instructions & think I've got everything. But Why am I not getting the INI file? Why would I be getting an alliased folder now? Sorry for the trouble, I know I'm missing something simple, this has worked too well, too easily in the past. Thank you for your time, Steve
  21. I switched computers & put FS9, PMDG and unzipped FSUIPC onto the new computer with no problem. To begin with, I noticed there was no INI file in the modules folder, so I kept the old INI file & tried placing it in the "new" module's folder. I couldn't get any of my old joystick controls to work. I then deleted this INI file, went back to FS2004 & began reprograming only a few button presses. Everything programed nicely. When I went back to the modules folder, there was still no INI file located there. The only files in the modules folder are either DLL, text or key files. There's really no problem except for the inconvenience of having to go back & reprogam everything over again, but I have two questions. Why isn't the INI file appearing & how can I get the old INI file to work again? Thanks in advance for any help, Steve
  22. If I wanted to create a back up for all of my control settings, would I need to back up the .ini file in the module folder or the configuration file in the fs9 folder? Also, I'm assuming this is accomplished by a simple copy and paste of that file?
