  1. I have just downloaded the new full installer v4.960: installed it, checked registration and everything running fine now. Michael
  2. I tried 6 times as you wrote. It makes the new trusted entry in the fsx.cfg but still crashes. I am using FSUIPC since years and have updated it so many times... never faced anything similar. I will revert to v4.959 until a new full installer is available. Maybe it does not like that I just copied the dll over. Michael
  3. Pete, as soon as I return to v4.959, FSX runs again. I hesitate to post details from the event log since I do not know what private information it may contain. Can I reach you by Email? Michael
  4. I have the same in FSX: 4.959 runs o.K., but 4.959e gives a warning when FSX fires up and then crashes. Michael
  5. Forgot to continue... Now, here is how I could solve it: This is the content of a textfile named "PMDG 737NGX.mcro" which goes into the modules folder: [Macros] 1=NGX Fuel 1 off=K112,11 2=NGX Fuel 1 on=K113,11 3=NGX Fuel 2 off=K114,11 4=NGX Fuel 2 on=K115,11 This file is loaded with the following statement in the MacroFiles-section of the FSUIPC.ini: [MacroFiles] 1=PMDG 737NGX Thereafter, one can assign the fuel valve commands to two analogue axes. In case of the Y and Z axis of my Saitek quadrant, the assignment in the Axes-section of FSUIPC.ini reads as follows: 0=1Y,256 1=1Y,B,-16384,-9752,M1:1,0 2=1Y,B,256,16383,M1:2,0 3=1Z,256 4=1Z,B,-16384,-9752,M1:3,0 5=1Z,B,256,16383,M1:4,0 Michael
  6. Now I am getting the difference between commands and keystrokes. How I tried to assign to an axis: first I defined the range into which the lever has to travel, then I picked a command i.e. "mixture lean" from the list "control to be sent when range entered". My idea was, that the "mixture lean" command would be transferred into CTRL+SHIFT+F2 which then acts the fuel valve. Michael
  7. Pete, excuse me for not being clear. I mean the FSX keyboard commands Mixture (idle cutoff) CTRL+SHIFT+F1 Mixture (lean quickly) CTRL+SHIFT+F2 Mixture (enrich) CTRL+SHIFT+F3 Mixture (full rich) CTRL+SHIFT+F4 I have tested and assigned i.e. the key command for flap extension (F4) to an axis of the quadrant: it worked and the flaps extended. However, assigning one of the above mixture key commands to the same axis would not operate the fuel valves. Thats what puzzled me. Thank you, Michael
  8. I am trying to assign the fuel controls (FSX mixture commands CTRL + SHIFT + 1, 2, 3 or 4; see control stand setup in the 737 FMC) to the mixture axes of my Saitek quadrant. It simply does not work. I have tested and changed the control stand setup - no success. When I test and assign any other FSX command to the mixture axes, it works. Somehow the fuel valves specifically do not respond. Any idea? I have FSUIPC 4.719a Michael
  9. I had exactly the same problem with the Saitek throttles after a year of use: jumping and noisy so that taxiing was almost impossible. Today, I tried Kontakt 60 cleaner and sprayed it through the quadrant openings onto the axles. To my surprise, the spikes were absolutely gone after a one hours wait. Also, the mechanical feeling is much smoother. In Germany, you can buy it from Conrad Electronics. For others, here is the manufacturers product link: Kontakt 60 Cleaner Spray Cheers, Michael
  10. Good morning, I have assigned the spoilers to a joystick axis (FSUIPC 4.5): 0=1X,6892,D,22,0,0,0 How can I reverse the axis, so that the spoilers are deployed when I move the lever backward (down)? Thank You, Michael
  11. I am facing repeated CTDs and always the weather.dll is reported by Vista. I have FSUIPC, registered version 4.5, weather options off. Does it make sense to try install the latest version 4.52? Do I have to uninstall 4.5 before installing 4.52? What about my mouse-macros? Will they be automatically transferred to the new version? Thank You, Michael
  12. It works! One can re-define the mixture axes of Saitek throttle quadrants and associate them with mouse-clicks on the condition levers. Attached you will find the necessary definitions. Michael Condition Lever.zip
  13. Andy, the problem is that positions of an analogue lever have to be assigned to a three-point digital switch. This seems not to be trivial, since the forum of Digital-Aviation (Cheyenne) contains only questions regarding this issue, but no solution. Michael
  14. I also own the wonderful Cheyenne and wish I could operate the condition levers positions (shutdown, low idle, high idle) with the fuel levers of my Saitek quadrants. I have some questions: 1. Am I getting you right: is it possible to define fuel lever positions which operate the condition levers? 2. My ATR-72 has a similar problem with its condition levers. Can I use the necessary redefinitions without confusing with the Cheyenne definitions? 3. Will these definitions be specific for the Cheyenne and ATR-72, so will the fuel levers retain their normal function in piston aircraft? At the moment, the free FSUIPC is installed in my copy of FSX. Do I simply have to hit the register button to upgrade to the latest pay version? Thank You, Michael
