  1. Thanks again Ian, I did find some more info after my last post, just refined my search. You mentioned if appears after a incorrect shut down, which I would understand, but it also does it after a normal shutdown, or the first boot of the day. But anyway it's not a big issue, I was just curious about the logistics on why it was happening. Cheers, Rand
  2. Thanks Ian, It does continue running FSX after I hit "Yes" so it doesn't seem to cause a problem. Sometimes when FSX is taking a long time to load the error window doesn't show up, but I assume that's still the issue. So I'll close out FSX in task manager and reload FSX. Then sure enough the error pops up again. I know this is a security feature and you have to go through the series of windows popping up when you first install a third party app. But why does FSUIPC always seem to be the one that has not been accepted? Or as you say a false error. I have several third party apps and have never seen this with any of those. Anyway Ian thanks for your answer. I did a forum search for "error" before I posted this question and didn't have any hits. So guess I'll try another keyword search and try to read more about this issue. Cheers
  3. Hi all, I keep getting this error when starting FSX, not every time but probably 3 out of 5 starts. It was doing it before the FSUIPC update and was hoping the update would change it. But still seeing it. I'm running Win Vista 32. Just curious if any one has had this prob before? Thanx --------------------------- Error --------------------------- Flight Simulator has detected a problem with a third-party software program (add-on): Name: FSUIPC4 DLL: FS new universal IPC interface Version: 4.703 Company: Peter L. Dowson File: Modules\FSUIPC4.dll Do you want to run this software (not recommended)? To avoid seeing this message in the future, uninstall this program or disable its ability to start when running Flight Simulator. For more information about third-party programs, contact the publisher or see http:\www.fsinsider.com. --------------------------- Yes No ---------------------------
  4. Hey Fred good luck to you. I basically did the same thing (didn't see the bundle offer) and spent 2 days debating with SimMarket. They explained it was technical and couldn't be changed. Not a very customer friendly approach, but hey what are you going to do? Glad I'm not the only one that had this problem, now I don't feel so lonely. Maybe you'll have better luck, let us know. Cheers
