  1. Hi Pete, no problem. I'll try to be more clear. What I did is: In FSUIPC axis assignment, I use one of my CH throttle quadrant axes and set up a "From To" range. In the "Control sent when range is entered", I choose "Key Press/hold", and in the "Parameter" field, I entered the code, e. g. 113 for F2. Doing so, my expectation is that once I'll enter the set up range with the respective throttle lever, it will act as if I was pressing and holding the F2 key. Perhaps a little background on what I'm basically trying to achieve: The PMDG NGX does not play well with a reverser axis assigned through FSUIPC. In order to mimick the reverser axis behavior, I tried to set up an axis that just acts as if holding down the F2 key when entering a certain range, bringing the reverser levers into full reverse and holding them there, and cutting the levers back to idle when leaving this range. What I did appears to work, but compared to just pressing and holding the F2 key using the keyboard, the reverser levers in the NGX are moved at a slower rate when using the F2 keypress through the axis assignment. There may be better ways to achieve this or even make the reverser axis work with the NGX. If that's the case, please enlighten me. If not, well - I just wondered how to increase the speed at which the reversers travel into reverse up to the level that can be experienced when using the keyboard instead of the axis assignment.
  2. Hi, I've assigned a key press to an axis range with the key press to be held while travelling through the defined axis range. So far so good. However, compared to what happens when I just press and hold the key on the keyboard, the repeat rate when using the axis seems to be a lot lower. Is there any possibility to adjust this rate or is the concept so entirely different that something like a "repeat rate" does not apply when using a key press on an axis? Thanks
  3. Found the stuff in the manuals and managed to make it work. Thanks Pete for your pointers into the right direction.
  4. Correct. It's the new PMDG NGX which does not respond to certain default FSX controls but has their own keyboard shortcuts to do things. In my case, I want to make the gear up/down/off functionality work with an axis to simulate the gear lever. Pete, thanks for your replies. Now that it is confirmed that these things can be done, I will dig my head again into the users manual and study.
  5. Hi, I've been skimming through the documents that came with FSUIPC but I haven't been able to figure out two things (maybe I'm just too dumb to understand). What I'd like to do is: 1. An axis can be used to send flightsim commands when the axis travels through certain ranges. This is fine, but can I also use key commands instead of flightsim commands? I would need to do the following: when axis travels up: send key command 1 in the upper quarter. when the axis travels down: send key command 2 when half-way, send key command 3 when in the lower quarter. 2. Is it possible to program a toggle on a button such as: button down first time: send key command 1 button down second time: send key command 2 button down again: send again key command 1 button down again: send again key command 2 etc. Thanks for your help
  6. Hi Pete, I installed 4.551 and it now looks like in the attached screenshot. There's now ample room available in each edit field :D Regards, Dave
  7. Hi Pete, thanks for your lightning-fast response. You're right, it's not a critical issue, and I certainly didn't mean to have this appear as no 1 bug. I clicked through more of the FSUIPC pages and found more clipping. It appears to exclusively happen with the numeric edit fields on the calibration pages, so pretty much those edit boxes which used to be a perfect fit without much headroom. Usually, 5 digit values pretty consistently get their last half digit cut off, and the full last digit when they are less than 0 and need to be displayed with the minus sign. Let me know if you need to know more or if you want me to try something out. Regards, Dave
  8. Ah, I've just seen that there is 4.549 out already. Tried that, but it still looks the same :( I can't remember to have had this problem with any previous FSUIPC version. What changed?
  9. Hi, I've got a problem with version 4.548 of FSUIPC (Please see attachment FSUIPC.jpg). Some of the input fields are clipping the contained numbers. My OS is Windows XP SP3 containing the latest patches. I have the following MS Visual C++ distributables installed: 2005: 8.0.50727.42 and 2008: 9.0.21022 I did not change the default font sizes in Windows XP. Any ideas? Thanks bpcw001
