  1. I previously had somone assisting me setting up my machine with FS2004 and your freeware version of FSUIPC. He sent off a query to you as to why the version 4.53 couldn't detect FS2004 when it stated on the website that it should. That being that, I went ahead and purchased a copy of the FSUIPC 3 to suit FS2004. It appears to load and install correctly, and appears to accept the key I received without any problems. I have sifted through all the extensive instructions attached to the FSUIPC3 and believe that I have covered and installed everything in accordance with the instructions. Whenever I go back to FS2004, it loads correctly and in the option to select a flight, it correctly shows the Majestic Software Dash 8, which I duly select. However, on every occassion, when I select OK it comes back with a "Visual Model could not be detected - Microsoft Flight Simulator has stoped working" and MS FS2004 promptly crashes. For any oher aircraft typoe, MS FS2004 works fine, but for professional reasons, I really do need the Majestic Dash 8. I am sure that it is probably something simple, but I have re-read, re-loaded and re-considered every aspect of the instructions I have in front of me and cannot understand what has happened. Incidently, I am running Windows Vista. I do not pretent to be computer savy, and this forey into loading programs is outside my normal comfort zone!!! I hope that you can shed some light! Chris
  2. During installation of FSUIPC4 for FS9, the log indicats the following: Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.53 Looking in registry for FSX install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 Parameter"SetupPath" Not there, so looking in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 Parameter"AppPath" ... NOT found! ... Looking in registry for ESP install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft ESP\1.0 Parameter"SetupPath" Not there, so looking in: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft ESP\1.0 Parameter"AppPath" ... NOT found! ... ... NOT found! Asking user to find the .EXE instead ... Installation fails every time. Is the installation routine supposed to search for all versions of FS installed on the computer? Is there a way to get the installer to progress past this point.
