  1. Yes, LOC intercept. It is working as is,.. but could be better. :? I will change it to use offset 0870 instead. I have successfully used 0872 for the GS capture. Thanks for your help.
  2. I don't think it was a resolution issue. I was getting decreasing values like : 114.63 112.37 109.60 ie the value was making relativly large jumps. It points to an internal FS update rate limit. I'll see if I can get some proper timing numbers for you. The 500ms was just a rough visual guess.
  3. Pete, Thoses offsets work fine. thanks But the update rate hasn't increased. You can see this by placing 'Altitude' in the FS title bar using the 'logging' functionality and comparing the update rate to the localizer value update rate. Altitude looks like it's updating every frame where as the VOR needles only seem to update every 500ms or so.... I guess there must be a update rate limit set by FS... Mark
  4. Thanks brilliant. I didn't expect that kind of response... :D I'll test it tonight... and let you know the results. Thanks Mark
  5. Hi Pete, Currently the localizer and glideslope needles (offsets 0C48 & 0C49) are single byte values of -127 to +127. Are floating point versions of these values available with more precision.? I am calculating the 'rate of change' of the needles. Thanks Mark
  6. I did have a quick play with flying the sim via FSUIPC a while back, and it all worked quite well. I wrote a simple external flight model program that sent the LLAPBH to FS2004. You don't want to be in flight mode while doing this (even though it does work) because the sim gravity takes over in between FSUIPC updates which makes for a bumpy ride. Running in paused or slew mode works just as well. I think I prefered paused mode. Airspeed and VS were automatically calculated, but you'll have to provide engine values. Mark
  7. I use Delphi and also not sure of the VB var equivalent. So if you're still having problems, I'd go with Chris' example... It will work... Mark

  9. stefan, That is how negatives are held in a 2 byte (word). if you copy this to an integer variable you should get -100. Mark
